Gray smiled looking down at him when she listened to him, “Thank you.” She felt his arms tighten up softly around her, relaxing her body. Her hand moved to Gabe’s hand that rested on her waist lightly tracing his thumb as a sign of thank you. She then heard his voice speak over the music to his friends, “Oh stop.” She laughed shaking her head nudging her elbow to his arm. She relaxed her shoulders when she noticed them laugh and turn their attention back to where they were previously. “Sorry.” She spoke just quiet enough for him to hear with a shy smile.
Gabe watched as his friends diverted their attention back to what they were doing before and he chuckled softly to himself. He knew that for his friends, seeing him like this in a committed relationship with a girl was a lot for them to take in and it’d take a while for them to get used to. That was one of the reasons why he’d been hesitant about telling them about his relationship with Gray but now that he had, it felt like a huge weight has been lifted off his shoulder. Gabe rested his chin on Gray’s shoulder and replied to her apology, “Don’t worry about it.” He knew that this wasn’t really Gray’s scene, but she had still showed up and he appreciated that. Wanting to show his gratitude, Gabe pressed a soft kiss to his girlfriend’s neck and whispered into her ears, “Thank you for coming.”
