Allegiant - Veronica Roth
The last book in a trilogy is often loved or hated, and in my experience either the tip of the iceberg where everything breaks loose, or a book of explainations. Allegiant was no different, but in my opinion it is no different.
There are massive spoilers down here. It's less likely now, but if you haven't read the book you probably don't want to read this post yet...
My boyfriend bought me allegiant for my birthday! He found a paperback version! whooop whoooooop! Now he will lose me for a while as I read the whole trilogy :D
The Fault in our Stars - John Green
I posted a photo when I completed this as Day 40 of my hundred days of happiness on my main account, however wanted to do a slightly longer post here.
I finally bought this book a week or two ago and decided to read it. Now I’ve been wanting to read this for a while and have been told how good it is countless times, however i think that ended up raising my expectations too high. Yes it is a good book, and yes i enjoyed it, but I’m not sure i would go raving about it like everyone else has.
Mahoosive spoilers....

I want to read... Allegiant
Ahh! I know this has been out for a while but as I dislike hardback books I am trying to be patient enough to wait until it comes out in paperback. I will, however, borrow it from a library if I manage to find one which has it actually on the shelves and not on loan! The main problem with this of course is that I am generally busy when libraries are open. Oh well!
I am somewhat worried about whether this book will be any good - on Amazon a fair amount of the reviews are actually quite bad. Of course i'm going to read it, I want to know the ending, but it would seem that maybe the book isn't quite up to the standards that people came to expect after the first two. I'm really hoping that the only people who reviewed are the ones that were disappointed because the first two books were great in my opinion.
0.4 - Mike Lancaster
I have had this on my wish list for a while as I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it or not. The book had very mixed reviews with some people really enjoying it and some not. To me it felt like it was unfinished with half of the story finished.
Spoilers...
Heading Home - Katie Flynn
Although I am in my 20s I am not shy about the fact that I like to read books aimed at both Young Adults and teenagers. I am perfectly capable of reading books aimed towards adults, however right now in my life a large amount of them simply do not interest me. I do, have a guilty pleasure though - Katie Flynn. I have had one book (Strawberry Fields) for years. I have no idea where it came from but I have reread it many many times. I found Heading Home in a charity shop and it has been hiding on my bookcase until my move prompted it to be found.
The Forsaken - Lisa Stasse
I realise that the dystopian world is becoming very full very quickly and many of the themes are increasingly similar. I do wonder sometimes whether this is due to people thinking in the same way or inadvertently picking up ideas from other things they have read - whether they be books, or just things taking place in the world at the moment.
This book really reminded me of the Hunger Games and the Maze Runner.
I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You're doing things you've never done before, and more importantly, you're Doing Something.
-Neil Gaiman

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone - J K Rowling
“There's no such thing as winning or losing. There is won and there is lost; there is victory and defeat. There are absolutes. Everything in between is still left to fight for.”
Skulduggery Pleasant - Derek Landy
Skulduggery Pleasant - Derek Landy
I went away with scouts to Exmoor last weekend where we stayed in a youth hostel. I took a book with me, however was too lazy to go upstairs and get it so instead looked at the shelf of books left there. To my surprise there was one I fancied reading - Skulduggery Pleasant! I have been meaning to read this for a while and just not gotten round to it. Some may say it is aimed at those much younger than myself, and I have to say it was fairly easy reading, but was still enjoyable. (The main character was 12 years old if I remember correctly!)

Neal Asher - Gridlinked
Reached - Ally Condie
Reached is finally off my bookcase! I really looked forward to reading this book, especially as it is longer than the others, but also because I like to know how things end...
