Something (like a book) or Cucurucho approach them, asks them to go somewhere

They go there but, shocking twist, they get locked in a place!

They stop streaming for a while

Suddenly come back (and apparently, a lot happened behind the scenes, and we will probably never know what it exactly was!) and go back to living on the island like nothing

Like, the only thing that stood out recently was the "Federation happy pill drugs" lore arc, which was actually fresh and entertaining (even though a lot of the clues around that time, like those crypted messages on twitter and tiktok also had a complete dead end with no closure to them)

Each time a kidnapping happens I get more and more tired of it. Don't get me wrong, it gives some pretty good angst, fanart and imagery etc. But also, it's very predictable and it just feels repetitive. I know it's a immersive way to justify a players abscence, but I feel it shouldn't be always like this.

I think that this whole thing of kidnapping/imprisoning is making the plot needlessly convoluted, and making it harder to track (and I'm not talking about the fans, but the admins) I feel like people should just "suddenly vanish/hibernate" again.

I actually get surprised people still get excited over these, tbh

When the kidnappings first happened they were a big deal, but now? It just feels like "oh, another one". It just doesn't have the same sparkle.

And, about the puzzles often leading to nowhere, that kinda scares me. Because it reeks of "we didn't really plan this ahead". I feel like a far better alternative is to build things and let players find out themselves. Y'know, environmental storytelling?

Of course, this is kinda of a problem since without the eggs and leads the players do get a bit lost. But I feel like doing seemingly random puzzles and plotlines isn't the way. Thankfully, some players do seem like they want to do their own independent rp, like Forever and Bad.

Now, this might just be my anxiety brain talking, but I really do wonder if the admins actually have a "set storyline with rules and objectives"* or if they're making shit up as they ago. I really, REALLY hope it isn't the latter, because things will come crashing down at one point. Can't have a good building without a stable ground.

*By that I mean if the the admins have a plotline already established. I know that in rp much of it is improv, but you still need to be fairly consistent. I'm talking about if they already have planned things such as What Is The Federation? What Is It Hoping to Achieve? Why These People? What Are The Weird Entities Living Here? Etc
