North American Worldwind tour: Ocean Optics XXIII conference... ไปเที่ยวอเมริกาเหนือพริบตาเดียวย่างรวดเร็ว: งานสัมมนา Ocean Optics ครั้งที่ 23... 北美旋風式巡禮：第23屆海洋光學研討會
So this past month I’ve apparently been trotting around the globe and taking a tour of Canada’s Pacific Northwest and some major hubs around the US. เดือนที่ผ่านมาลีชีพจรลงเท้าวิ่งเต้นไปโลก ได้ไปถึงแคนนาดาฝั่งตะวันตกเฉียงเหนือและอเมริกา 我這個月看起來是跑遍世界、參觀加拿大的西北太平洋風景以及美國的一些重要城市。
I recently presented a poster in Victoria BC (Canada) that was accepted by The Oceanography Society. While visiting the quaint town of Victoria (30 min plane ride from Vancouver BC), I took a chance to step away from the weeklong conference and into the area’s nature-themed spots, including Butchard Gardens. ขณะที่ลีไปเยี่ยมเมืองเมือง Victoria อันแสนมีสเน่ห์ (นั่งเครื่องบินจาก Vancouver แค่30นาที) ในที่สุดลีก็มีโอกาสพักผ่อนจากการสัมมนามาเกือบอาทิตย์หนึ่งและนีไปที่ที่เป็นแนวธรรมชาติรวมทั้งสวน Butchard 我去維多利亞古雅的城鎮的時候（從溫哥華搭飛機30分鐘），我抓住機會遠離長達一周的研討會，然後去大自然風景區走走，包括Butchard 公園。
After the conference, I was able to visit friends in various cities – including Denver, Houston, Philadelphia/Delaware, Flushing (Queens NY), and good-old New Jersey! หลังจากสัมมนาจบไปแล้ว ลีได้มีโอกาสไปเที่ยวหลายเมืองเพื่อได้เยี่ยมเพื่อนฝูงได้แก่เมือง Denver, Houston, Philadelphia/Delaware, Flushing Queens (นิวยอร์ก) และ New Jersey ซึ่งเป็นถิ่นเก่าของลี! 研討會以後，我去各個城市拜訪朋友，包括丹佛、休斯頓、費城~德拉威、法拉盛（紐約州）、跟美好的紐澤西！
I truly didn’t realize how homesick I was for certain foods until I returned to America! These included tacos and tortillas, stouts and ales, a Philly cheese steak from Jim’s South Street, and both a NY style bagel as well as NY style pizza (**thin crust, but yet still gooey)! ลีไม่รู้เลยว่าคิดถึงอาหารที่บ้านมากแค่ไหนจนกระทั่งกลับมา USA! ทั้ง tacos กับ tortillas, เบียร์ประเภท stout กับ ประเภท ale, Philadelphia cheese steak (ฟิลลาเดลเฟียชีสสเต๊กแซนด์วิช) ที่ทีมาจากร้าน Jim’s South Street รวมทั้งเบเกิลและพิซซ่าสไตล์นิวยอร์ก (*เปลือกบาง*แต่ยังเหนียวๆ)! 回去美國以後，我真的發現我真的想家和一些家鄉的食物！包括有：玉米餅有脆脆的跟軟軟的兩種、黑啤酒跟 ale (啤酒的一種)、Jim南街的費城起士牛排、跟紐約式貝果和紐約式比薩（**薄皮但是仍會 牽絲）！
Ah….. my version of the comfort foods of USA. (Next time, I’ll have to definitely had matzah ball soup, very likely at Harold’s Diner!) นั่นแหละ… นั้นคืออาหารอเมริกันที่กินแล้วทำให้สบายใจขึ้นในของลี (คราวหน้าต้องไปซุปที่มีกินลูกชิ้น matzah ball แถว Harold’s Diner!) 啊。。。那就是我的美國舒適食物版本。（下次，很可能在Harold’s Diner我會需要matzah丸子湯!）
