The Story Behind Erik’s Modeling Pictures

As a young man, like most people, Erik Menendez was trying to decide what he wanted to do with his life. He wanted to try modeling so he went to Beverly Hills photographer, Phillip Kearney, who did several photoshoots with him.

“In retrospect, those pictures, to me, look very lonely and haunting… I saw where he was lonely or where he was different and not so happy and a little bit darker,“ Kearney later said.

Pro-prosecution journalists find these photos to be an important piece of evidence that supports the theory Erik fabricated his sexual abuse stories. Because of the sexual overtones present in the photo-sets.

Dr. Vicary and Dr. Conte testified that Lyle and Erik acted out sexually in an attempt to re-create their abuse, and gain a sense of autonomy they’d lost .
