Eughhh i have been so tired and busy with work lately. I got sleepy mid-drawing too so I couldn't finish the second page. :( Here are some small doodles I drew today!

It may not be full body but at least I did something lol. I'm still deciding whether to make her hair light colored like the other gems/diamonds or darker colored. I think she's already beautiful this way, what do you think?

In Era 2 before they learn the dynamic of a family, they normally call each other by their names. But in Era 3 after Steven teaches them about it, Blue and Yellow wants to explore that dynamic and calls Teal their child/daughter while Teal is conflicted but learns to call them Mom/Mother during her process of emotional recovery! Yes they are aware of Teal's confliction and pressured her sometimes but later respects it and just waited for her to recover and choose to do it herself, from Steven's advice.

They barely even get to talk because of White's ego. It's really nothing different from how White treats Blue and Yellow, White just sees Teal as a regular new Diamond and not much else. If Yellow dictates successfully and contributed tons to the gem empire but she doesn't even get to talk to White(Reference from the episode "Change your mind"), then why should Teal be able to? The only time they get to talk was when Teal was first emerged, Yellow could only introduce her for a short amount of time.

I made Teal Diamond, not to only satisfy my needs as a Bellow shipper but also to represent what it's like to be a "Rainbow Child" and also to represent how grief of child loss can affect a family as whole. Yes Pink diamond isn't exactly their child but for the sake of proper real world mental health awareness, she serves as that role in this dynamic. Yellow's type of grief as shown in both the show and my AU is called "Controlled grief" or "Avoidant grief". Yellow avoids all sort of mistakes that led to Pink's death, not wanting a single flaw to be made by Teal to prevent the same incident happening again. She doesn't let the grief consume her whole, but the desire to avoid flaws lead to heavy perfectionism projected onto Teal. Also forcing Teal to stay emotionally stable and not show any weakness nor negative emotions so that she won't turn out like Pink and Blue will be able to rely on her. Blue's type of grief is very common. As shown in both the show and my AU, it's called "Attachment based grief". Blue is in a state of mourning most of the time after Pink's death, still keeping rose quartzes bubbled in the human zoo to keep what's left of Pink's things, and still holding onto memories of her. She relies on Teal for emotional support, so much that it drains Teal as whole internally. When her grief gets too much, she begs Teal to help erase it for her own temporarily relief. Teal exists between two opposing forms of grief. One pushes her to be perfect, one pulls her to stay. She's expected to never break and to hold everything together. She's not Pink, but she's constantly compared to what was lost. Not directly, but through fear, control and dependency. She develops a fawn response from all of this. This is not to justify any child abuse, but to represent and explain how loss can shape a family differently.

Have a small doodle of Era 3 in my AU for today! It's 11pm and I feel kind of sleepy but the idea of Era 3 just came up in my mind. I thought i'd give you all a small spoiler! Well, also to prepare for some angst next. That's all of the motivation I have left for today. p_p

Yes she’s designed to kind of be an external balance and stabilizer. But her unstable energy might affect small things if it gets too much. Though she’s able to control her instability to protect the environment! I’d definitely include Teal commanding gems around in one of my doodles to be honest I love that idea 🙏

Currently she doesn't have a spinel since she primarily focuses on her duties, she doesn't have a sense of fun in a way that Pink Diamond had. Maybe because she doesn't even know the word "fun" yet X( But as her story develops, i'll keep that in mind!
