What were you by age 25? I dont trust wikipedia when I can ask the Man himself, and you're the only Big Known Person who feels Friend enough to ask this. Additional question, what should one be by 25 you think, in this era of "quick quick quick, be everything right now or else the world will leave you" ?
I was, aged 25, a broke and unknown freelance journalist with two small children, who had published three, perhaps four short stories. My first two books (non-fiction) had come out and vanished. I had just had the idea for The Graveyard Book but I knew I wasn’t a good enough writer to do it justice. I was hungry. I’d written two comics short stories to try and teach myself how to write comics, but wasn’t sure what to do next.
What should you be by 25? You should be storing up life experiences, getting fired from jobs, getting your heart broken, living on noodles, all of that. But I suspect the depths of worry and misery that one gets merely by existing currently will probably do just as well.

This is hexaflower.I always draw it when I feel anxiety and restlessness.
This was the very first task I’ve learned as an architect student, so long ago like it was in another life.
It’s pretty simple and the whole process from pencil drawing to watercoloring bring me calm and systemize all my thoughts.

More of my Apocalypse artwork processes!This is particularly the most ambitious and complex artwork I’ve ever made since I graduated from BS course.It’s still need to be finished and it’s took much more skills and endeavours, than I expected. But I almost proud of it.
Hey there! Tell every aspects about your dream job? And also what do you think about a common 8-hours work regime. Do you think this is a normal thing, or should it be shorter?

as i've mentioned before somewhere on this blog (or have i, actually?), i'm studying to become a classical musician. as such, my dream job would be to be a tutti player in an internationally acclaimed orchestra somewhere in nothern, western or central europe! i've worked in an orchestra before as a substitute, and the hours there were quite nice, about 10 am to 2 pm, usually three to four days a week plus one or two concerts in the evenings. the schedule suited me very, very well. especially because some weeks the orchestra doesn't need all of that time to rehearse and work could end even hours earlier. of course there's a lot of practice to do outside of work hours, but basically i would often do an hour before work and two after so, that most work days ended up being 7 to 8 hours.
about the common 9 to 5 job — i'm sure it depends on the person. apparently there's been some research that suggests a four-day work week would be better, or less hours. i haven't worked much in my life yet so i don't know. personally i'm quite a creature of habit so i think a 9 to 5 would suit me well. i guess the problem is that it doesn't suit everyone. and i must admit that in the orchestra i really enjoyed how every week was different, most days there was work from 10 to 2 but some days the whole morning was free and there was only a concert in the evening. there were often free mondays and fridays too — obviously not entirely free since musicians need to practice outside of tutti rehearsals, but still non-scheduled days — during which i enjoyed being able to create my own timetable and thus vary my routines a bit.
i guess 9 to 5 is "normal", but should it be in the future? perhaps not! especially now with covid-19 and people starting to work from home on more flexible schedules, i'm sure things will change soon. for better or for worse, i don't know! i'm certain it depends on the job. perhaps when working in an office in a field where you can just leave work behind once you go home, it's better to separate work life and free time. in the path i've chosen, it's pretty difficult to differentiate between the two which is why (at least for now) i'm fine with work being done at home too and then because of that having shorter and more flexible hours at the job.

Winter come to Moscow! This is how it looks in Russia, when it comes in right time and in right appearence.This forest located right in Moscow, near my mom’s house. I came to her to spend weekend together, we go for a walk to this charming forest and she took this photos of me. It was almost night and lights were muted. No one was hiking in the forest, we were alone.I never before was in a winter gloom forest late at evening. This dark atmosphere of soundless dense forest was so mesmerizing, so I just froze in place and try not to breathe - to catch this vibe.I need more of such wonderful days.

Look at this! My alocasia amazonica is about to bloom third time in a year!I so surprised of this, cause I think that alocasia, just like other aroid plants, bloom really really rare.

Today I did my last round of studying for my exam. Since I was so tired of repeting stuff I decided to do a huge list of all the important dates of contemporary history. Which ended up being way longer than I thought. After finishing my list I was too tired to keep studying so I gave up with that and watched a movie with my brother.
