Even worse is that apparently he had some behind-the-scenes drama with Kyle, Chandler and MBB so no doubt there’s definitely some bad blood between them.

The funniest thing though is that the Japanese box office for GVK bombed so hard in Japan so you can tell they were not happy with what Adam was doing at all so Toho had to have some kind of intervention after seeing the money for GXK TNE

I didn't know about the rumors about the supposed bad blood between Wingard and the cast, so I don't really have anything to add. Besides I usually don't trust rumors 100%. Nor did I know of the box-office failures in Japan.

But what I can tell you is that Wingard and disrespecting the source material of a movie HE's directing is not unheard of.

Now,I have never read/watched Death Note. But a youtuber I like he's a huge fan. So One day he put out a review/breakdown of the movie, produced by Netflix and I kid you not, if wasn't for the names(as he explained it) one couldn't tell they were intended to be the same characters. All of it OOCs as hell. Matter of fact the movie bombed, critics were harsh!!!

The DN movie is almost 10 years old(It came out in 2017) however it seems Wingard has learn nothing on how working on established canon and respect lore/characters personality. I had connected the dots before I'd have spared myself the money ticket.

As far as I remember in the KOTM novelitation, in one the myths is said that a Thunderbird would bring Mimlos-Whale in his nest in the mountains. I don't know if they're supposed to indicate Ghidorah and Godzilla, but I like to think that Ghidorah would choose a place to rest and scheme away from the Godzilla's oceans.

MV!Goji is old, ancient and I liked the idea to translate it; that he somehow belong to another era. So I set for the a very vintage look for him.

This style choice I found a reason for it in his backstory; which basically he's him, wearing his father's clothes to save money while he raises his little brother (Rodan) after their father's (Dagon) death.(It was also a way to still feel Dagon close to him, his death is a wound hard to mend for Goji, sadly).

But even after Rodan had grown up and became self-sufficient, Goji still has the mentality to not spend much for himself or letting others pay for him ;⁠), he's stubbornly proud. He mostly wear second-hand stuff/thrift and 8/10 he's basically Adam Sandler-ing(with Ghido who has to suffer through it).
