Any of y'all think it's weird that Goose said it was hard to get the finale to be an hour, only for like 20-30 minutes of it to be unimportant?

You cannot tell me that all that time inside of Jax's abstraction was necessary. The first part, showing what he thinks of the other characters provided nothing, and half of the flashbacks were fluff. It just felt like Jax for the sake of Jax, rather than the story.

I'm mostly bitter about this because it felt like so many questions were left unanswered about the world. I can kinda get people being bitter about all the lore not being in the show, but revealed on tumblr. Don't get my wrong, some things like how Ragatha was written as a repressed lesbian, for example, are fine to reveal outside the show. That's not important to the plot, it's just a fun new thing we can learn about her.

I'm saying, when I was sitting in the theater, watching the credits roll, I still had questions. Questions that had answers, but they didn't bother to put them into the show.

Overall, I'm saying, why waste so much screen time on unimportant fluff? Those questions could have been answered, but they chose to try and flesh out a character that didn't need fleshing out, because he doesn't have much depth as a character like the others.

I'm not a writer or an animator or any of that, so I'm not trying to talk shit. I couldn't make something half as good as this show. This is more a hindsight thing I'm thinking about. Plus as a Jax hater, there is some bias lol, but at least in my head, it is somewhat justified.

I want to write fanfic, but I've like, never done that before. I'm waiting for my ao3 account to get approved, but in the meantime, y'all have any tips?

It'll be a jjba fic, most likely about Giorno de-ageing and the gang having to take care of him. I know there are a million of those already (but I've read almost all of them and want to make my own lol). Plus all the ones I read feel too short, I want to make a really long one that covers every little thing.

So, yeah, I have some controversial opinions about TADC finale that I need to like, get off my chest. You do NOT have to agree with me, I'm just sharing.

I have always been a Jax hater, but I think I've been open minded. I didn't like him, but I expected him to have some sort of redemption arc, or there would be a scene that explained his actions. To be fair, we did get the latter, but I was not what I expected.

That's not a bad thing at all, I like that they made him to be irredeemable, but I don't like they way they treated it. It's such an interesting concept to me, he's not really a "antagonist" but he's, at least to me, evil. He treated one, or an implied two people to abstraction. Or, if we use the metaphor, he treated them so badly, they fell into despair, then killed themselves.

And yet, HE DOES NOT CHANGE. It baffles me. What person, no matter how shitty they are, would watch THEIR OWN ACTIONS hurt people that much, and then DO NOTHING TO CHANGE??? It's to the point where I find it unrealistic.

Maybe I'm wrong though, because there has been a flood of people saying they "relate" and they "act just like him." Wtf that's not a good thing. Don't do that.

I see this show as full of wonderfully written characters, and then one "main character" (for some fucking reason. He is not a main character) drags the whole story down. He was so close to being great, but he just doesn't make sense with his motivations.

Not being out as a young transman sucks on its own, but there are just the smallest things that make it worse.

I'm trying to find out how to decorate my senior spot, and both my mother and another family member are helping. When I tell you I get sent the most hyperfem ai fucking slop with my deadname plastered all over it in my messages.

My mother has always been disrepectful about me being a "tomboy". Even if she doesn't know the full truth, I'm not surprised this is what they're sharing with me, knowing it's not for me.

So like, I send them actual pictures from pinterest to show more ideas, not going with what I actually want, but something they'll accept. You won't be surprised when I get sent back, yet again, a hyperfem version of my tastes that ChatGPT drained a lake for.

I'm just so tired of compromising my own PREFRANCES when it doesn't affect anyone else. Small things like this happen daily.
