alright i've seen several people suggest possible names for noelle after he comes out and as one of the (self proclaimed) leading authorities in all things transmasc noelle related i decided to rank names i've seen

feel free to suggest your own ideas in the replies

nicholas - keeps the christmas name and makes sense but i see it used primarily as a deadname for transfem noelle so it's hard for me to like it because of that (4/10)

noel/noël - okay we can try a little harder than this come on y'all (2/10)

noah - that's my son right there!! admittedly not super creative but i like that it's close to noelle and has religious connotations but isn't overtly christmassy to keep a little bit of distance (too biased to rate objectively)

klaus - "no little deer boy don't proceed" "oh mein gott zees is ein lake full of blüntsmoken!" (6/10)

chester - i doubt anyone would seriously name themselves chester no offense but admittedly it is pretty funny (6/10)

kris - the thought of him also choosing the name kris because of kris kringle leaving kris to be like "dude are you fucking kidding me" is fucking hilarious i'm not even gonna lie (7/10)

elliot - really like this one because it allows him to still be elly to dess and that's sweet also it's the name of the deer from open season lmao (8/10)

winter - it's like fine i guess? nothing wrong with it but feels kind of generic to me idk (5/10)

felix - like feliz navidad! a little bit of a stretch but it's cute i like it (7/10)

august - rebelling against the christmas tradition by choosing a summery name while also picking the name of a month to match with his sister is really really good love this one honestly (9/10)

cole - still choosing a name that rebels against his mom but being too much of a dork to not pick something christmas related fits him SO well i'm honestly lowkey mad i didn't think of this myself because it's kind of perfect (10/10)

jesús - i mean i fucking guess man he was even in a crucifix pose at one point but the thought of someone naming themselves after jesus feels weird lmao (5/10)

angel - this is what people mean when they theorize "noelle is the angel" right? i guess this would be the ACTUAL equivalent to naming yourself after jesus in the deltarune universe but i still like it better (6/10)

People will always say about how trans guys are barely represented in both media and fandom yet will attack you if you headcanon a canon fem character as a trans guy/masc. Like I get the reason, Noelle is a girl who loves Susie (another girl), I headcanon her as a cis lesbian. But I'm also okay with the transmasc/FtM reading of Noelle and I don't think a trans guy in a het relationship is somehow "less queer" than a lesbian one.

Additionally, the same people saying you want lesbians to become straight over your Ao3 fanfiction is absolutely insane too. You're also a lesbian and I know several people who are LGBT and have kinks that are akin to correction (like trans people into forced detrans). Plus is fiction. I know the argument is flawed but still. The filters exist for a reason. Arghhh sorry about what's happening on twitter I just hate people and I hate twitter.

yeah i never understood the whole "lesbian erasure" talking point that got thrown at me because like... i'm not erasing anything? it's literally a headcanon me and a handful of other people viewing noelle as a trans boy is not going to take away anyone's lesbian representation! the canon game where noelle and susie are both women still exists! all of the fan works where noelle and susie are both women are still out there! like it's actually ridiculous that i had to deal with people saying i'm lesbiphobic or transmisogynistic when i am a trans lesbian IN REAL LIFE like yeah sure man you're really showing what a great lesbian ally you are by harassing a lesbian online mhm. and the whole idea of trans guys erasing lesbians is uh. well. it's literally a TERF talking point what else is there to say

the whole thing with my ao3 was really funny because i was just waiting for people to slowly realize that transmasc noelle is like. the least offensive thing i've written LMAO. like there is SO much other stuff that people could (and eventually did) get mad at but all of this started because of transmasc noelle of all things... it's actually ridiculous. the only thing that i regret with that is that now people assume i headcanon noelle as trans for sexual purposes when it's like not like that at all. i've written extensively about why i view him as a trans boy and if i only wanted to write him as trans for kink reasons i'd just like say and do that lmao. oh well if people want to view my headcanon in bad faith because i'm also a writer of weird porn and taboo kinks that's their problem and not mine at the end of the day
