I wouldn’t say anything I’m interested in these days qualifies as “niche” but when I was in middle school I got super attached to the characters from an animated version of horrible histories. I didn’t watch a whole lot of the show, it was just shown in class from time to time

My favorite cartoon growing up was mighty b!, which is occasionally brought up today, but I think it just got overshadowed by other big shows at the time. I wasn’t able to watch it anymore when new episodes moved to nicktoons since we didn’t have that channel. Lol.

If we’re counting anime, my very first(besides Pokemon) and one of my favs is squidgirl! I watched it back in 2013 when netflix started adding dubbed anime to their catalog and loved it so much. Squid girl is almost never brought up in the conversation about gag anime, the last time I remember seeing it mentioned in the wild was when splatoon 1 had a collaboration with it
