Oh shit, here we go again. I'm making another poll 'cause I'm indecisive about which background I wanna pick for my Gnoll character- who I've decided to change from a Fighter to a Barbarian [Path of the Beast].
Below the poll- under the keep reading line- I've written down a few notes for how it might change her character depending on which background gets chosen. So, let's get to it :]
What background should my Gnoll Barbarian be?
Soldier
Criminal
Urchin
Remaining time: 15 hours 17 minutes
If she's a Soldier:
Trusts people they work with and most citizens. Will more than likely have respect for those of a higher status than them, but doesn't necessarily trust them.
^ Has some people they're close with, but doesn't speak with them as often as they want to.
Eats what's only necessary for them- nothing more. Will probably skip dessert.
Has their hair braided / knotted up.
Became a soldier so their adoptive parent(s) didn't have to.
Either Neutral Good, or Lawful Neutral.
If she's a Criminal:
Slow to trusting anyone, even those in criminal circles.
^ Doesn't have that many friends, mostly just acquaintances or colleagues.
Is hesitant to eat anything they're served, wanting to double check first if it's poisoned or not.
Their hair is a little messy, but overall fine.
Became a criminal because of how society treated them.
Most likely Chaotic Neutral.
If she's an Urchin:
Is quicker to trust someone if they aren't of a higher status- such as nobles, knights, and royalty.
^ Has a group of people they would call their family and would do anything for.
Will scarf down food without a second thought- too used to food scarcity. However, if there's someone nearby that looks very hungry, they might pass the food to them instead.
Their hair is rather wild and unkempt.
Grew up an urchin after their Gnoll pack left them behind when they were young.

Made a new Tomodachi Life LtD island with a (sort of) new cast of characters. Tho', for my brain's sake, I've limited it to only 35 characters (aka enough to get the biggest island expansion).
I wanted most of these characters to either be someone scary, powerful, chaotic, or a combination of two / all three. With an exception of one character :]
First and foremost, we got Nøkken and Huldra (Nordic Folklore creatures), who became a couple and made Noor (which I hc as a siren, considering it's a mix of Nøkken and Huldra :])
On this pic- from left to right- we got: Allay, Brute Piglin and Elder Guardian [Minecraft], Enoch and Sugar [OFF], and then Spamton NEO, Jevil and Eram [Deltarune].
Next up, we got: the Teacher, the Lady, and the Thin Man [Little Nightmares 1 & 2], Yubaba and No-Face [Spirited Away], White Diamond [Steven Universe], the Lich [Adventure Time], and the Axolotl [Gravity Falls].
Over here we got: Phenomaman [Dispatch], Metro Man [Megamind], Omni-Man [Invincible], Mr. Boss and Mr. Frog [Smiling Friends], Nicole [the Amazing World of Gumball], Trevor [GTA 5], and Fawful [Mario & Luigi series].
Lastly, we got: Lady Dimitrescu [Resident Evil Village], the Beldam [Coraline], Vanny [FNAF: Security Breach], Moment of Clarity [Slay the Princess], Courage [Courage the Cowardly Dog], Bloody Mary [the Wolf Among Us], GLaDOS [Portal], and Snatcher [A Hat in Time].
A lot of these characters I'm pretty proud of how I made them. Of course, there was a couple I looked online to see how others made them (Glados and Fawful), but other than that, I winged it trying to make them accurate to their official renders and such. If I had to pick who I'm the most proud of making, it would probably either be the Lich or Moment of Clarity :>
As for any sort of relationship development that's happened on my island, well:
As I noted earlier, the first couple was Nøkken and Huldra, who also had the first (and atm only) kid on the island.
The second pairing ended up being the Lady and Bloody Mary, which is funny considering the Lady can't stand mirrors, while Bloody Mary is literally connected to mirrors :')
Then there's Eram and Vanny, which, I mean, sure ig. You go girl, get that secret boss.
A couple that surprised me was the Axolotl and Mr. Frog, and ngl, it's pretty good.
In the crushes department, there's quite a few that I'll just speed through: Elder Guardian -> the Lich -> Trevor -> Mr. Frog, Jevil -> Snatcher, Omni-Man -> the Beldam, Lady Dimitrescu -> White Diamond.
At the moment tho', I haven't done any work on stylizing my island, mostly 'cause I wanted to wait until it was fully expanded. So no pics of it for now.
After remaking my Gnome character (and now currently drawing him and b'Lue (my Grung character)), I kinda wanna try and redo my ol' butch Gnoll character. Went through some of the DnD classes and their different subclasses- as well as the different backgrounds- and so far, I've found a few that grabbed my interest for her.
For classes / subclasses, the ones that caught my eye were: Fighter [Battle Master], Ranger [Hunters or Gloom Stalker], and Barbarian [Path of the Beast]. While for backgrounds, I was leaning a little towards having her be a Criminal still, but I also thought about her being a Soldier or an Urchin. Depends on what class I pick for her. Though at the moment, Barbarian + Path of the Beast is kinda hogging most of my attention.

Some context for the comic for those who have no clue about these NoPixel characters (which is most of you probably lol):
Ryan [Parker] and Matt [Rhodes] (the two guys in the first comic part) are both played by the same person, and so, these two characters will sadly never be able to interact with eachother. However, it's fun to think about the shit those two would argue about if they could interact. For example; Who they chose to marry (aka Reed [Dankleaf] and Richard [Dark], the two guys in the second comic part).
It's June, motherfuckers, and you know what that means! Apart from firing a few rent-lowering shots to filter out the chuds from my following, it's probably also a good time to post a reminder that there are many strange ways to be queer, and this is one of them.

It's Pride Month, so if you'll forgive me I'm taking a two minute break from the One Piece, League of Legends, Marvel Rivals, Final Fantasy and Pokémon shorts to tell you… Sylveon is trans, Taliyah is trans, everyone on the Straw Hats is queer, there are no words to describe how queer superheroes are as a concept let alone how queer they all are individually, and here's a fun fact for you: Cloud Strife's story gets ten times better when you understand it as an allegory for a trans coming out experience.
As for me, well, I'm not trans, but I do occupy my own little space in the rainbow flags which looks like this. I am aromantic.
We are generally not as visible as many of our queer siblings, probably at least partly because it's kind of a difficult identity to even discover in yourself, you basically have to prove a negative.
But what is this thing, "aromantic"? Well… okay, let's say you're a straight guy, right. You know the way you feel romantically about other men? I feel exactly the same way, and then I also feel that way about women, and then also the same way about all of the other genders.
Now, aromantic often goes along with asexual, there's a lot of co-occurrence of the two, but not always, and that is my situation. Yes to sex, no to romance, which being a man, yes, I know, that just makes me the same as 90% of the men you match on Hinge. "Ha ha ha didn't realize "fuccboi" was an orientation now," I know. I get it. I understand. I have had all the same thoughts myself, especially when I was questioning.
Which is the difficulty with being aromantic, because in order to figure out that that's what you are, you have to prove a negative. I have never been in love, and I have no reason to think I ever will be… but what if someday I meet The One??? What if there's a special divinely designated perfect soulmate out there, just waiting for me, and one day our eyes will meet across the room and it will be love at first sight forever?
And like. I can't prove that won't happen, anymore than I can prove that there isn't a flowery pink teapot currently hiding somewhere in the orbit of Saturn. And frankly, if it did happen, I wouldn't be mad. Why would I be? I would have a soulmate! That's a pretty big W, I think.
But… I've had over thirty years to encounter someone—anyone—who can spark my romantic interest, and thus far, every challenger of every gender has failed. So either I am aromantic, or else you people have a skill issue.
Anyway, like anything to do with queerness, aromantic is a sprawling and diverse spectrum. You got your aroaces, aroallos, aroflux, arospikes, demiromantics, frayromantics, grayromantics, cupioromantics, there's a whole world of different experiences present under this umbrella. For me, though, just "aromantic" is fine. That's the broad label, that's the one I fall under, that's the identity I take pride in. Happy June!
