Come Out and Play | Grace and Gideon
He watched as she sat up and commented on the year. She assured him it was a good one, which was nice to hear, but he wasn’t sure he trusted her to know what a good year would be. “Yes, it seems to be to my liking. Even if it wasn’t a good year, I’d still be drinking it.” He gave his debonair crooked smile and flashed his teeth. The blonde was snarky, he had to give her that.
"So, I have to ask. Why did you steal all my clothes, exactly?" he pulled the cap off the bottle and took a long pull from it. He felt the burn as it raced down his throat and then inflamed his belly as it reached it’s destination. He made a face and cradled the brown bottle to his chest like an infant.
"As long as you drink it, that's all that matters to me," Grace said with a shrug. The way it came out it probably sounded like she was trying to get the Gryffindor drunk, and while that was certainly something she had in mind, she in no way meant to take advantage of it, just make sure that he had a good night of drinking firewhiskey. She couldn't help the grin that lingered on her lips when he flashed her that smile. Charming bastard.
Oh, damn. Of course he would ask that, wouldn't he? Her smile fell a fraction. The only question now was if she was going to tell him the truth or keep up the rouse, in which case she'd have to come up with an answer for stealing his clothes. She had never really come out and specifically said that she was the one that took them, so up until this moment, she hadn't really lied about it.
"It's obvious, innit?" She said with a slight smile. "When else would I get to see that glorious naked figure?" She leaned back on the grass, not bothering to take the bottle away from him; he seemed pretty attached at the moment, she noted with a smile.

Come Out and Play | Grace and Gideon
Gideon had raced up to Gryffindor tower in search of his brother. The two had made plans to discuss some after graduation plans. Fabian had been very concerned about their plans after leaving Hogwarts, but Gideon wanted to continue having fun. He was enjoying his last year as much as possible and was trying to encourage his twin to do the same. He explained his situation to Fabian, who gave a disapproving look, but had no time to retort before Gideon threw himself back out of the portrait hole to go meet Grace.
He passed many familiar faces that tried to stop him on his way, but all he had time for was to say he was busy and he’d see them all later. Once he had found himself on the grounds, he sprinted towards the pitch, loving the feel of the wind blow his hair around his head and trying to get the air into his lungs. He felt his muscles moving and he pushed himself faster.
When he made it to the pitch, he stopped fast, looking for the blonde. It took him a moment to spot her as the sun was setting, making the visibility rather poor. She was laying on the ground waiting for him alone. He strode over, much slower than he had gone throughout the castle. He struggled to take normal breaths, but by time he reached her, his breathing had almost returned back to normal. He spotted the bottle of Firewhiskey and grabbed it, checking for the date on it without being offered. He had always had trouble with manners.
Grace didn’t have to wait as long as she thought she was going to have to and looked up as the footsteps came closer and closer; She grinned over at him and propped herself up on her elbows, watching as he inspected the bottle. She wasn't sure what he was looking for, but she assumed that it was the year he was after.
"It a good year," she provided. Of course it was a good year. She’d nicked it from her father’s stash, which he hadn’t sent a howler about, a fact that surprised her to no end. He had to know that it was missing. She didn't mind his lack of manners, or if she did, she didn't say anything, just waited a bit before raising her eyebrow and sitting all the way up. "Is it to your liking?" She teased lightly.

Come Out and Play | Grace and Gideon
Grace grinned after Gideon as he called over his shoulder and ran down the hall before shaking her head. She hadn't truly been the one to swipe his clothes from where ever they were taken from, but she was certainly the one to find them. She didn't know who they belonged to until a very bare, very attractive Gideon Prewett came around. Even if a private viewing was too late, Grace didn't regret that it seemed like she was the one to take the clothes, and she likely wouldn't be fessing up about it anytime soon.
She turned on her heel and made her way as quickly as she could to her dorm room, ignoring any looks she got from her dorm mates as she pulled the mostly full bottle of fire whiskey out from the false bottom of her trunk and made her way back out. The journey from Ravenclaw tower to the Quidditch Pitch was entirely too long for her, but when she got there, she didn't see him; she assumed that she had beaten him there.
The blonde liked Gideon; not in the romantic, puppy way that half the girls in this school liked someone. He seemed like he was a fun bloke, and she was curious, and thankful that he had agreed to let her make it up to him. She glanced up at the stars while she waited, unscrewing the top and taking a drink.
In a word? Transformative.
Edgar wasn’t expecting presents, and so the small array of items on his bed caught him unprepared. He picked up the gloves first, immediately loving the rich texture of the leather. These were good. These were so good. Next came the books, both of which he would be devouring in a few hours. Impressive. He wondered for a moment who his benefactor might be, before finally spotting the note. His lips curled into a smile as he read it. Grace. Of course. Funnily enough, he’d just returned from the owlery, where her gift had been delivered. Time to pay her a visit, then.
He left the Hufflepuff Common Room at an easy jog, which he kept up all the way to Ravenclaw tower. Fortunately another student had just answered the riddle as he got there, and he was allowed (not without a weird look or two) inside. Getting into the female dorms would be the more difficult part, but just then another Eagle appeared, clearly on her way up there. Using his most winsome smile, Edgar managed to convince her to get Grace, and now there was only waiting.
He looked round briefly, but found it inappropriate to sit down, and so he remained by the stairs to the girls’ dormitory, box in hand and a sheepish smile on his lips.
Unlike most things that Grace did when it came to Edgar, the presents she'd gotten for him had been carefully planned out. She didn't typically buy presents for people that weren't family, so at first she'd been lost before she was able to take comfort in something that they shared in common, thank Merlin. The Quidditch books on strategies had been obvious to her; he was so much more in love with the sport than she was, the kind of person to go through those books hungrily, gleaning any information he could from its pages. The gloves... that had been more of a risk. His gloves looked fine for the most part and she didn't know how he'd feel about her buying him an expensive pair; was he the kind to turn away a gift just because it cost a bit of money? She didn't dwell on it too long, instead sending the gifts up with Elvira, a Hufflepuff in her year that she trusted to deliver the presents and note safely.
Grace hadn't been expecting one of her dorm mates to tell her that Edgar was downstairs waiting on her, though. Her eyes went wide and she murmured a thanks to her dorm mate and went down the stairs, though she would slow down and look a bit more composed when she emerged from the staircase. She grinned when she saw him standing there with that sheepish smile on his lips and a box in his hand.
"Hey handsome," she greeted, coming down and stopping in front of him. "What brings you to Ravenclaw tower?"
[Expensive, well-made Quidditch gloves and two leather bound books on Quidditch strategies were waiting for Edgar on the edge of his bed with a note in neat script.]
Edgar,
Thought you might want these.
Yours -Grace
He asked me over owl to this thing. It was bloody romantic. I k-keep the letter under my pillow for when I get lonely. It’s hard, with his bed a meter from mine, but waiting ‘til marriage’ll be worth it. [Ted opened his mouth to respond to her question but his eyes drifted to her lips, watching her blow out the smoke. He closed his mouth and looked to his feet as his blush grew. He spoke quietly] It’s not like I don’t know girls. I do. There’s this one, she’s not even really that special. I just kind of think about her sometimes. I’m pretty sure she doesn’t even know I exist. It would never happen even if she did.
Merlin's beard, you two are straight out of a fairy tale, I swear. I don't know how you can keep your hands off him, though. It's awfully tempting. [She paused, feeling like she'd been mean a moment before.] I didn't think that you didn't, Ted. I just haven't really seen you go up and talk to them regularly, though I guess that would make Edgar jealous, wouldn't it? Oh? Who is this girl? Am I friendly with her?

[Ted laughed at the image that came to mind of Edgar primping.] He does love his hair products. [He happily grabbed the jay, blushing slightly as his fingers brushed against hers] I could never imagine anyone else but Eddie. He’s got a special place in my heart…all of my heart really. [He laughed again and took a puff, handing it back to her] There’s n-not anyone really. I mean, there could be! There’s a few girls that I…I w-wouldn’t mi- you know, never mind.
You two are simply adorable. [Grace just barely caught the blush that bloomed across his cheeks when he took it back and their fingers touched, but she didn't hone in on it and tease him, she just smiled. As he continued on in a slightly flustered way, she laughed quietly.] C'mon, Teddy. It's not like I'm going to laugh at you, at least not in a mean way. I could introduce you to one if you like? [She accepted the spliff back and took another hit, holding it in this time before letting it out slowly, a small cloud.]
[Ted glanced up in confusion but smiled when he saw it was Grace that had spoke to him] Edgar. He’s supposed to be my date to this. He might be inside though. I didn’t really look around too well before I came out here. [He held the jay out to her] D-Do you want some?
[Grace's smile widened when Ted returned her smile and he spoke of Edgar. Figures that those two would be each other's date to the ball.] I haven't seen him around, yet. He's probably still primping for you. Sure. [She shrugged and reached out for the spliff before bringing it to her lips and passing it back.] Thanks. Got your eye on anyone here, or do you only have eyes for Edgar?
All Fall Down | Grace and Edgar.
His own feelings were something Edgar had chosen not to consider when it came to Grace. He was mindful of hers, of course, and overall tried to steer clear of anything even remotely romantic, unwilling to complicate their easy arrangement, but beyond that he didn’t give it much thought. Perhaps that was the reason he was so surprised by the tightening in his chest at the kiss she ghosted to his lips. He was used to their more… physical activities, and even the occasional gentle touch, or a mislaid kiss to the cheek or forehead, but this had been so sweet, so… pure, that it stirred something in him he hadn’t thought there at all.
The Hufflepuff found himself smiling fondly down at the blonde, absently tucking a stay lock of hair behind her ear. “That’s bull. You’re much stronger than you think.” He laced their fingers together and nodded towards the castle in the distance. “Come on, let’s get you someplace warm.”
Grace's eyes fell shut for the briefest of moments before they opened again and she managed a genuine smile. It was easier for her to breathe and the situation didn't seem so dire, at least not right now with him right here with her. She tried to shake herself out of it, but she couldn't when he was smiling at her like that, with a fondness that she wasn't used to but found that she liked. "If you say so," Grace murmured with a shrug, though a smile was on her own lips. She nodded ad grabbed up her broom, which had apparently fallen from her hands at some point, and kept her fingers intertwined with his.
[Standing in the outside corridor, trying to hide in the shadows as he smokes a jay. He’s obviously uncomfortable in his dress robes and stressed about not seeing his date, Ed, anywhere.]
[Grace was stalking the outskirts of the ball, not really feeling getting in the middle of it right now. There was a particular face that she wanted to see tonight, but it seemed he was no where to be found, which she could deal with. She saw one of his friends, though, Ted who was looking quite uncomfortable. She approached him.] Who're you waiting on? [She smiled.]

It most certainly can be quite fun, but I welcome your company anyway.
Especially if you are as willing to make bad decisions as I find myself to be this evening.
I'll have to try it again some time, then. I'm up for a few bad decisions.
Did you have anything in mind, or going with the flow of the alcohol?
Not waiting for the weekend.
Would you mind some company. It's no fun getting wasted by yourself.
