*wakes up from a year long slumber* I love being a valid member of the trans community regardless of how much dysphoria I have or the fact that I use neopronouns bc the only person why can determine my worth as a trans person is me
I’m so grateful for the phrase “transmisogyny exempt” (‘tme’) because it allows me to communicate my gender and relationship to lesbianism and privilege within women’s spaces without having to lie and say I’m cis or use ‘afab’ which I hate as a phrase. I’m so grateful to trans women who continue to create needed LGBTQ vocabulary so that we can better articulate our experiences— thank you ❤️
also just as an addendum in case this is reblogged outside the circle of people who know me and can infer what I mean—
I don’t hate afab as in I’d never use it, I do use it and I find it useful for being shorthand for what it actually describes (i.e. literally that someone was assigned female at birth, as an event in their life that happened).
But the way ‘afab’/‘amab’ are used to ‘sort’ non-binary people or to invalidate trans people or to be some sort of euphemistic stand-in for discussing someone’s genitals? Gross, hate that.
imagine if cishet men thirst posted like tumblr gays "hmnnhnhn..... girls 😳" i would send myself to the psych ward
quick op is asleep, all straight/bisexual guys rb with something you love about girls 😳
i love it when girls have freckles and short hair,,, how about you guys
I love girls with long hair, and perfectly done makeup, and skirts. I like girls who look sweet and innocent and aren’t. And I like curves.
thats so cool i dont remember asking though

JK Rowling has publically sided with a TERF who got fired for being transphobic.
the “debate” — as if there ever was one — is over. this is the smoking gun. JK Rowling is publically a terf. never again can somebody say Rowling doesn’t hate trans women.
just adding to this for those who didn’t know— jk rowling has been pretty open about her transphobia for a while now, the recent news is just the first time iirc that she’s spoken about it. all past proof and examples of her transphobia can be found here. she has consistently liked transphobic tweets and followed terfs and transphobes on twitter for well over a year now
real quick fuck you blerf/plerf bitches for aping the word terf which represents a movement that is a very real and serious danger to transwomen and using it to make your bullshit “movement” seem more important than what is really is. what does being a radical feminist even have to do with being “bi lesbian/pan lesbian exclusive”? it doesn’t, you just wanted something that sounds like terf/swerf so you could scare some people into supporting your bullshit. they have nothing to do with each other and if the antiblerf/plerf shit actually had any integrity or value you wouldnt need to rely on word association to promote awareness god youre all so ugly.
The Importance of HIV Testing: “The threat is not in having the disease — it’s in not knowing you have the disease.”
“In 2016, I was a 22-year-old with no health insurance and the only place that would take me without extremely high fees for medical care was Planned Parenthood. I was not there for HIV testing, but they offered it to me anyway, for free. I never expected when they called me back a week later that anything was wrong, but my results came back positive for HIV.
Naturally I was shocked. I was diagnosed in a different state than the state I was living in at the time, so it took a few weeks before I could get into treatment. I didn’t tell anyone about my diagnosis because I was worried about what they might think of me. At the same time, I was living in constant fear of what my life with HIV would look like. When I finally got back home to Florida and met with my doctor for the first time to go over my numbers he said “Your viral load isn’t great but it’s not bad. It’s good that you found out when you did because we can fix this.” And almost immediately, the weight of all my fears had lifted.
I have a normal life. I am a graduate student. I have a beautiful man who loves me. I can still have children. I can travel. I can do any and everything I had planned for myself before I was diagnosed with HIV. People often think that HIV is life-threatening. But the threat is not in having the disease — it’s in not knowing you have the disease. Thanks to Planned Parenthood, I know, and that is how Planned Parenthood saved my life.“
— Jordyn, Las Vegas, NV
Getting tested is the only way to know for sure if you have HIV, and it’s one of the best ways to keep yourself and your partners healthy. HIV tests are usually quick and painless — most of the time, all you have to do is rub your cheek with a cotton swab.
The best part about HIV testing? Getting tested and knowing your status can really put your mind at ease, no matter the results. If you do find out you have HIV, you’ll be able to get the information you need to start treatment. There’s no cure for HIV, but there are medicines you can take to help you stay healthy and lower (or even stop) your chance of passing HIV to others.
Having HIV does not make you “dirty” or a bad person, and it doesn’t mean your life is over. People living with HIV can be in relationships, have sex, and live full, healthy, happy lives with the right treatment and the support of friends and family.
Lots of places offer free or low-cost HIV testing, like your local Planned Parenthood health center.
Make an appointment to get tested today.
im gonna say something real controversial
exorsexism isnt a thing. nb people are very discriminated against and bullied relentlessly by peers within our own community
but it is because of internalized transphobia
nb discrimination isnt “transphobia lite”. it IS transphobia
nonbinary people are not oppressed by binary people... especially TME nonbinary people are not oppressed by binary trans women. Thats now how. oppression or -isms work
complain about the woes of being nonbinary all you want but dont feed into thinly veiled transmisogyny thanks

hey um yeah?
I dont know how else to say this but people who are LGBTQ+ and not trans girls really need to remember how fucking hard it is for trans girls and how if we don’t educate ourselves on TERF and trans-misogynistic talking points and ideology in the year of our lord 2019 we’re doing them a disservice and putting them in danger
I’m looking at all of you, don’t think that just because you’re in the trendercore, tucute, or anti-exclusionism communities you’re exempt from this somehow.
I feel like the online LGBTQ+ community has completely generalized trans discussions as if the experiences of trans men, trans women, and nonbinary people are all the same and equatable.
Trans women are the most vulnerable among us, it’s time to fucking uplift their voices and dismantle TERF/trans-misogynistic talking points and phrases like “biologically male/female.” Even though i may be using the hashtags below, this also includes “ftm” and “mtf”
TERFs as a group only affect trans women— in other contexts they are simply being transphobic. The term TERF specifically refers to feminists removing trans women from feminism and causing systematic harm through transmisogynistic actions.
This isn’t to say trans men aren’t harmed by individual actions; but that TERF issues are solely trans women’s issues. Transphobia from these individuals is important to discuss but is separate from the systematic transmisogyny they further through their actions.
The recent reduction in spaces that turned the term into a synonym for “bad person” or simply transphobia has left trans women without a voice and without any recognition of the specific issues we face that other trans people do not.
as much as i appreciate the increased usage of they/them pronouns as a non binary person that uses those pronouns, y'all need to also understand that using they/them on someone who does not use they/them is still misgendering
people who are overperformative about their wokeness or a tragedy online are always like “if you can reblog everything but this im blocking you” or something along those lines bc they dont have the self awareness to realize that not everyone comes on tumblr to fucking mourn let alone get their news from like they do…lol
“why is no one talking about this” there are other platforms like…substantial ones other than tumblr.edu where you can get information and i hate to break it to you but you really are not more of a morally conscious person for sprinkling in a few current events posts on your blog scream
Hey since hazbin hotel's pilot is coming out today heres a reminder that the creator drew pedophilia, bestiality and defended someone who did blackface! Please stay away from me if ur a fan :) i even heard that some of the characters in the show itself are questionable and suspicious

Beautiful photo from the protest, yesterday on Santiago, Chile by Susana Hidalgo (su_hidalgo on Instagram)
¡REVOLUCIÓN!
The flag on the top is the mapuche flag. Mapuches are indigenous people who get constantly killed in the hand of cops. The goverment constantly silence us and killing us. This fight is for also us, indigenous people. Remember that
people on this site will be like 18 and will briefly question their gender and will cut their hair and go by He/him pronouns for like 2 months or less and then will put “detransitioned lesbian” in their blog description and talk about how the trans community obliterated their life
sometimes i wonder if radfems on here deliberately identify as trans men for like two weeks just so they can talk as if they’re a detransitioned person
i literally saw a 15 year old call herself detrans. 15. how
