Most likely screaming inside

I’ve been thinking about this since the beginning of the arc. What is Baal’s end goal with Iruma getting deported? After all, he still needs Iruma for his plans (not necessarily reviving Derkila, I still think that’s a load of bull, but def important for a plan).

And after making the previous post about the Barbatos clan and whatnot, something occurred to me. Why Baal waited a whole year since confirming Iruma’s human all the way back in the Harvest Festival arc.

He didn’t need to wait until Narnia was a Crown to prove it, he had the recording. Though perhaps he needed solid proof to the entire Border Patrol, hence Shiida being the main target to lure Iruma into complying.

But seeing the reactions, watching the Greats be discombobulated, I think I finally figured it out.

Baal wants Iruma deported because of the impact his removal would cause.

Think about it, he’s been in the shadows, watching, listening, and learning about all Iruma’s done for the Crowns. Making peace with the Barbatos Clan, unifying the Many-Ears, being a ray of light for the Misfit Class, I could go on.

Iruma has made such a positive impact on the Netherworld, that Baal won’t deny coming from Sullivan. And that’s exactly why he’s being deported now.

The impact that injustice would have would lead to tons of chaos and fighting, would it not? And having Shura make him temporary demon king at the same time means he’s the one who will be in charge and oversee the chaos.

Perhaps Belial’s words were correct, but not in the correct way. Why should Baal get his hands dirty now when all other demons can destroy Derkila’s legacy for him? The warning isn’t just about Baal himself, but about the consequences.
