AI Behaviour: As with most tank roles, Shawn will draw all enemy aggression towards himself. At first, he will draw one mob to himself while his team casts them down. If he finds that his team are vanquishing them quickly, he will draw two mobs towards himself in an effort to make quick work of them and finish their task efficiently.

I am well-aware of your eagerness to prove yourself but please, there is no need to be so... rushed. ‘Twill all yet be here in the morrow and we shant run out of supplies. While I wish for you to be the best cook in the world and you must needs prove the Oroniri for this, there is no Oroniri in my establishment. You’ve only two people to impress for now. And that is myself and Xavier.

You are kind and easy on all eyes but please do be careful. I do all I can to not be so wasteful.

Dear person I’m jealous of,

Mayhap you are right to say that I’ve been through the seventh level of Hell and back, for I’ve once tasted the darkness and the void and while a part of me hungers for it so, a bigger part yet wishes to rise above it. And rise above it, I shall.

With that said, I continue to be in awe of your... presence, I suppose I shall say. You know me best of all and you already know what I am to say in this note. I yet stay envious of you. While you are yet mine, I continue to be envious of your skills with people. Your way with them, the way you carry yourself with them. While I wish that I’ve the charisma that you do, ‘twould be much unbecoming of me. Aye, ‘tis true that I’ve improved and no longer live in the self-defeating attitude I once carried. But I’m well aware that I shant achieve the same level that you do. And for that, I envy you.

But mayhap ‘tis for the best that I leave such... methods to you so that aught else can run apace. I love you with all my heart, Xavier. But negotiations must needs have mine approval first. You and I both know that your methods are not always efficient, and cost-effective.

Had to take a small break since all I’ve been posting are CALENDARS. But apparently, Shawn Greyson is my most gorgeous character to date and he is featured on the Fourth Umbral Moon. And I think at least a few people would agree. This is the second time he has appeared on my calendar collection. The following are questions I tend to get asked about Shawn.

Q: Does the carpet really match the drapes?

Yes. Yes they do. I’m not sure why anyone would ever doubt that. Shawn is not the type of man to use hair dyes. He admits to using hair product to make sure he looks “presentable” but he has not used dyes at all.

Q: Wasn’t he a different character in the past?

Yes, he was another character who had a very similar background. However, it was time to retire that character and give him a very necessary upgrade. Shawn looks better, carries himself better, and is just overall a more fun character to play and roleplay because of the changes I made. 

Q: Was Shawn (or the first incarnation of what is now Shawn) your first blond character?

No. The first blond character I ever made in an MMO was a superhero character named Electrobuster who was an electric mutant who knew how to box and had a twin brother. (His FFXIV equivalent is Leif Steele, who has a twin brother named Landon.) This was in City of Heroes.

Q: Did he really dance on top of a duvet in the bathroom while Ryder was taking a dump?

...Yes. Yes he did. There is photographic evidence of this SOMEWHERE.

Q: Was was the biggest change for him from his first incarnation?

The biggest change for him was his personality. While his core values and ideals remained largely the same, Shawn is not someone you can walk all over. He has a fairly keen eye when someone is taking advantage of him and he is not afraid to call you out on your shit. He still, however, retains his kindness from the first time you meet him. This time, he does expect the kindness in return. The people and friends he has made in the past few years have been awesome to him so that hasn’t been an issue for him. He pretty much follows “The Golden Rule.”

BRIEF HISTORY: Perfectionism was something that was laid into the Greyson household. Born with platinum blond hair and differing coloured eyes, Alexander and Claire expected much from Shawn. Putting him through many different fields, they were disappointed to learn that Shawn had a talent for the sword and shield. This put him at odds with his parents, especially in his teenage years when he secretly enrolled in the Gladiators’ Guild. Despite his father later dying in The Battle of Carteneau, his relationship with his mother did not improve as he felt he was tricked into being taught an art that would later put his own life in danger. These days, he lives his life as peacefully and as calmly as he can though many times that is unavoidable as he is taken on quite a few “trips” in search of treasure.
