Another reason visual novels and dating sims kick ass is because the NPCs will always use the correct pronouns for you (whatever you picked at the beginning) and even the biggest douche canoes in the entire game will gender you properly. Like, yeah, this dudeβs an evil billionaire who bought your dead bossβs business and fired you and all your friends, but heβs not transphobic (unlike evil billionaires in real life).

Set 1 of my Arcade Spirits tarot cards!! this took around 40 days but itβs been SUCH fun to complete, even just planning it. itβs by far the most ambitious thing iβve ever done
i wish iβd been able to work on them more but my tablet pens were failing like two cards into working on this. in fact, one of them gave out entirely midway through finishing the world and i had to switch to my old half-busted tablet pen. i still managed to finish though!

i had to get a new font for the card titles. a lot of pre-installed serif fonts all look the same???

fun fact: many characters do not have footwear shown in any art, official or even art done by the designers, so i had to design footwear for a few of them. in most cases i could just do trainers to keep that Gamer vibe, though divineβs trainers required a little more thought. i kept them trainers to keep in line with an e-girl kinda edge
also, these images mark the first times iβve drawn art with 5 or more characters. it was a lot of work, and is the first time iβve ever had to prioritise speed over quality, given my paintings could often take literal WEEKS - not smth i could do here

Idk why but I can imagine the team (except for Jynx cause sheβs βtoo coolβ for that) going around the city trick-or-treating-
Thatβs so adorable I love it!
Oh oh oh and they all have custom personalized buckets with their names on them and they all put some of their candy in Jynxβs bucket when they get home so she can have some too.
