1: ANDERS

She’s been my favourite since my first run. Unfortunately I DID get her stranded and it annoyed me for the entire rest of the game bc I knew I’d messed up and gotten my favourite character killed. But for the positives it was really her interactions with Cooper that sold me of course. She’s genuinely one of the funniest characters in the game and she’s such a well integrated npc that I didn’t even REALISE she was an npc until super late. She feels like one of the playable characters, and I love how her role in the game feels important enough for that. I love this sly old fox <3

2: YOUNG Young is a character that REALLY grew on me. She was around the middle for me when I first played but after replaying and thinking on the game more, she rose up to second place really quickly. Beyond the fact that she obviously has the best performance in the game, she’s also just a really respectable character and I find her scenes to always be enjoyable. Also she’s just so so cute like awww picks her up and shakes her.

3: STAFFORD I’m honestly really surprised I like Stafford as much as I do. I think it definitely comes from my first run. That night I heard a lot of my friends who were also playing say that they got him killed super early so to me that told me he could kinda die whenever so the fact that I kept him alive made me really like him I think. Also he’s just a cool old guy and I find it interesting how much the feeling of the game can change depending on whether he lives or not.

4: COOPER

Honestly her and Stafford are pretty interchangeable, I love Cooper. She’s also a really funny and entertaining character and I can’t overstate how happy I am that one of these games had a SLIGHT variation in the female models and made her ripped as fuck. She’s another character I kept alive thankfully, I would have been so mad if I got both her and Anders killed. 

5: EISELE I liked Eisele from the beginning. She’s actually so cute I love her voice and how damn serious she is. She’s also autism final boss and I really fw that. I want to rank her higher but goddammit this cast is just too good.

6: SIMMS For what little time we actually get with her overall, Simms is just such a likeable character. I love how much personality we get from her just from the prologue and the little videos we find of her. I recently got that death where she floats off into space while playing with my gf and we both lowkey had tears in our eyes that shit was unnecessarily sad. 

7: MITCHELL When I first played I clowned on Mitchell for just being the default guy who sits around and says the occasional marvel quip but honestly he is entertaining. I like the energy he brings to the game, though that does NOT excuse his weird beef with Anders wtf is his problem.

8: WILLIAMS Honestly a character that could grow on me, I just have usually not seen him make it that far. I find him fascinating though, I like the disconnect between him and the rest of the cast and how much you can hate him but also enjoy his character.

9: CARTER I do like Carter, sort of like Simms he’s still made likeable from what we see of him. Unfortunately thats about all I can say since of course there isn’t too much on him but I like him.
