I'm Elle, a 17-year-old high school student. I created this blog for a school task, but I plan to continue using it for other things afterward. I will mainly post about topics like travel, food, and other things I'm interested in, such as books, character analysis, and games like Pokémon, as well as other things I have written in the past.

I mainly write about the books and characters I find interesting, and I especially enjoy writing fanfiction about those characters going through different scenarios that diverge from the canon events of the source material so that I can explore how they would act in such different situations.

Post season 3, days after Miracle Queen, André decides that it would be best if Chloe takes a break from Paris and its akumas and goes somewhere with less danger, at least for a while (plus, while everyone believes that she was an unwilling victim of akumatization, she was still the cause of the identity reveal of the temporary heroes, which people are still angry about). So he gets her a vacation to another country that will last a month or two or three. She'll have to take online classes to keep up with her schooling, but outside of that, she'll be able to relax and destress.

So now Chloe is in a new place (I don't know where a good vacation destination would be). But she's still a bit messed up about the whole Miracle Queen incident; she's angry, hurt, guilty, desperate, and overall full of despair. So obviously, Kyubey approaches her with an offer. He tells her that he will grant any wish she desires if she makes a contract with him and becomes a magical girl.

And Chloe, desperate, alone, full of emotion, and vulnerable, agrees and wishes to become a hero again.

The reason why Chloe is inclined to trust Kyubey is a combination of her experience with the kwamis, her susceptibility to manipulation, and most importantly, that Kyubey sounds exactly like someone Chloe trusts and cares about. His voice is so familiar; it's like she's hearing the voice of her friend instead of an alien cat thing (this is purely because Sabrina and Kyubey have the same voice actor in the English dubs of their respective shows and also chlobrina angst), so Chloe is less guarded and more willing to trust Kyubey.

(Also, Kyubey is very persistent, even more so with Chloe, since she was a former miraculous holder, which means she has a lot of karmic destiny or whatever. Kyubey usually doesn't go after miraculous holders because the kwami with said holder are always hostile, and he is not messing with that. But now he can go after a former miraculous holder since Chloe doesn’t have a kwami to warn and protect her.)

Chloe goes on her first fight against a witch or wraith or something, and she's doing pretty well. She continues this for a week or two before meeting a veteran magical girl who offers to teach her. Chloe refuses; a fight ensues, and Chloe, despite putting up a decent fight, ultimately loses due to a lack of experience. She reluctantly agrees to become the magical girl's mentee, and things are going pretty well for her. She even has someone to help her with her issues, maybe even give her some friends, a rival even.

(It would be interesting if the mentor knew what soul gems are but not how witches are made if this is set in the timeline where witches are a thing.)

I wonder if it would be sadder if either Chloe's mentor or rival dies protecting her or if they just fall into despair. Like, of course, having someone you care about die while saving you would mess you up. Wouldn't it be interesting if whoever dies does so by becoming a witch/getting taken by the law of cycles? With the law of cycles, it would probably give her a crisis and all that and maybe it can give her a chance for closure , but if her mentor/rival turns into a witch and she has to be the one to kill it because if she doesn't, it'll kill someone else, then all of that. But she doesn’t want to kill someone she cares about; there is still a part of her that clings to the hope that she can save them, but in the end she is forced kill the witch for the greater good.

So in the middle of all of this, Chloe has to go back to Paris, and she tries convincing her dad to let her stay a bit longer, but he (surprisingly) isn't budging. So Chloe is forced back to Paris, and she is not doing great.Meanwhile, everyone else is weirded out by how weird Chloe is acting; she isn't her usual mean and antagonistic self, but the strangest thing is how tense and guarded she gets when Sabrina talks.

Also, Lila being Paris's resident magical girl (or at least having significant territory) sets up a slow burn friendship between Chloe and Lila.

Adrien can be a diva/drama queen; however, it isn't his default setting, and he uses it as a last resort.

Chloe accidentally uses puns in front of the class; she is mortified, and Adrien can be seen cackling triumphantly.

Adrien knows how to braid hair because of Chloe.

They can make any outfit look good on them, and they like to match (especially for Halloween; they will dress up as sibling/sibling-coded characters).

Chloe can be a charming, suave flirt, and when she is it is often unintentional, it causes mass gay panic.

Chloe knows the basics of fencing and Adrien knows the basics of ballet.

They have a really complex handshake that no one else can understand or copy. (Except for sabrina who helped in creating said handshake)

They both look good in photos, no matter what happens.

They (along with Félix) pretended to be siblings when they were younger.

Adrien also cosplays and often plays along with Chloe and Sabrina.

Adrien learns how to walk in heels because of a bet with Chloe.

They buy each other cool jewelry they think the other will like.

The worst fight they had pre-canon was when Adrien found out that Chloe watched an episode of madoka magica without him.

They can perform several songs from musicals they like on the spot.

For Cat Noir, it would be a way to get to know her more because she'll treat him how she treats everyone else. He'll see a side of her he doesn’t really get to experience firsthand as Adrien (even if that side of her is mean and cruel). He decides to get to know her as Cat Noir and help her become a better person in the process. Also, he can vent to her about problems because while she can’t know all the details, Chloe has heard similar enough stuff from Adrien to be able to understand. He is able to get away from his lonely house and go to a friend, and it helps him grow (Chloe will be encouraging his teen rebellion). He also changes his costume to something cooler by (chloe) complaining about it, and Adrien later on asks Plagg if he could change his suit.

Chloe, at first, thinks that Cat Noir is annoying, but there's something so strangely familiar about him that she can’t quite place. Slowly, she starts finding his visits less and less annoying and even starts to enjoy them. They start to bond, and Cat Noir encourages Chloe to be nicer and to generally try to be a better person. It actually feels nice—making people smile, helping people, and not being an asshole feels great, actually.

Also, them just being silly and dramatic nerds.

Sabrina walks in on Cat Noir and Chloe arguing about who gets to cosplay as Ladybug.

Cat Noir and Sabrina are rivals (for the role of Chloe's BFF) but become friends. Sabrina is like, "If I can beat Adrien, I can beat you," and Cat Noir is like, "Round 2, and this time I’ll win." Meanwhile, Chloe doesn’t realize this at all.

Sabrina becomes more confident and independent due to bantering and hanging out with a superhero.

The trio has fun shenanigans and sleepovers where they watch anime and movies while eating snacks and playing games.

The hotel staff (especially Jean-armand) are not getting paid enough for this (but they’re getting attached too).

After Animaestro, Chloe decides to try out voice acting (maybe so she can bond with Adrien and impress her mom)

.So she gets the role of a secondary character or minor antagonist in a superhero movie, and she's doing pretty well.She's great at delivering witty, snarky one-liners and in scenes where her character is being flirty.

The most surprising thing is that she's good at emotionally devastating scenes.

Like her character has to have an emotional breakdown scene (like the Azula Agni Kai one or Catra from She-Ra), and the director and the other movie people aren't expecting it to be that good because while Chloe is doing a good job, it is still her first voice acting job, and she is a teenager.

But they are quickly surprised by how good Chloe is; she gets really into the scenes, her anguished screaming and crying are so realistic, and the way she delivers the emotional lines is so heartbreaking.

(Earlier that day, Chloe was trying to use her voice acting job to impress Audrey. It doesn't work, and Audrey dismisses and belittles her, scolding her for not getting to be a main character or that the movie isn't exceptional enough, so Chloe has a lot of bottled-up emotions that day.)

After the events of Miraculer, Chloe gets really into training so that if Ladybug gives her another chance, she won't fail again.

She also wants a rematch with Mayura and to beat the crap out of Hawkmoth.

So she trains in every martial art and parkour style she can, and even starts fencing (Adrien is ecstatic). She is a fast learner and quickly finds that she really enjoys sparring with more experienced fighters.

She gets really good and really into it; aside from school or hanging out with Sabrina, it is the thing she does the most.

(Sabrina comes along to watch because Chloe looks very pretty while training, and Sabrina is very gay.)

Her constant training also mellows her out since she lets out a lot of pent-up emotions while sparring with people, so she doesn't have much energy to be a bully. More often than not, she just makes a few quips and comments in class, but that's mostly it.

So when Miracle Queen happens, Chloe, while still hurt by Ladybug choosing someone else, isn't as angry or willing to betray her.

So while Hawkmoth offers her the Bee Miraculous, Chloe decides to play along.

However, when Hawkmoth gives her the Miraculous and she is transforming, boss music randomly starts playing (it's Cynthia's theme from Pokémon). Hawkmoth is confused until Chloe kicks him, and now it's a 2v1 fight.

Chloe is doing great against Mayura and Hawkmoth and even steals his cane. The only reason the two villains got away is that Mayura managed to create a Sentimonster to distract Chloe, and she had to use Venom (Hawkmoth also lost the other stolen Miraculous in this fight too).

Hawkmoth and Mayura, both bloody and bruised, are not having a good time. They did not expect Chloe to turn on them or that she could take them on (they are traumatized and will not be leaving the lair anytime soon).

Ladybug and Chat Noir notice the fight but get there a bit too late, so they just see a mildly injured Chloe beating the crap out of a Sentimonster.Unlike the Mayura fight in Miraculer, this one is caught on camera, and people are going wild.

The fight is a 1v1

But what if Chloe and Marinette's relationship was more of a mutual rivalry that everyone in the class (excluding Alya) knows about since she's new? Adrien has some idea since Chloe talks about the rivalry a lot.

They banter, they argue, Chloe schemes, Marinette foils it, etc. There are a few times Chloe goes too far, but when she realizes that, she tries not to replicate it. Because Chloe isn’t as bad as in canon, Marinette is more confident.

Most of canon stays the same, but Chloe causes fewer problems and her redemption arc isn’t as, I don’t know the word, severe. She still has to unlearn some stuff and apologize when she goes too far, but she is generally nicer in this AU.

Alya doesn’t get what Marinette and Chloe's weird dynamic is, but it can be really entertaining, and she gets used to it pretty quickly.

The only reason I thought of this is because of two scenes that, when I thought of them, made me laugh a lot.

Scene 1: A couple of days after "Chameleon"

(Chloe bursting in)

Chloe: "MARINETTE DUPAIN-CHENG!!"

Marinette: "Chloe? Wha—"

Chloe: "Don't you 'Chloe' me, you two-timer!"

Marinette: "What?"

Chloe: "I saw you trying to foil her schemes a few days ago."

Alya: "Lila wasn't sch—"

Nino: (eating popcorn) "Shhhhhh, things are just getting good."

Marinette: "Yes, but that's completely different!"

Chloe: "Really? That's your excuse? Different my ass! Are my schemes not dastardly enough for you, huh? You just had to get yourself a new rival."

Marinette: "What? No. I love stopping your plans!"

Chloe: "Well, your actions beg to differ. Do you know how many hours I spend trying to come up with my schemes so that you could foil them? After everything we've been through, I thought we had something special. I guess I was wrong."

Adrien, Sabrina & Alya: (cheering) "You tell her, girl!"

Marinette: "Alya?! You're supposed to be on my side!"

Alya: "I mean, you were accusing Lila of a lot of things, sooo...

"Chloe: "So, Dupain-Cheng, what do you have to say for yourself?"

Marinette: "Look, it's nothing really; her lies weren't even that good."

Lila: (offended) "HEY!!!"

Chloe: "If it's so unimportant to you, then you won't mind if I get a new rival."

Marinette: "WHAT?? WHO???"

Chloe: "Kagami."

Marinette: "KAGAMI?!?!?!"

And also this one based on an incorrect quote (includes Marigami):

Chloe: "I've seen that you've been spending a lot of time with Kagami lately."

Marinette: "No, Chloe, it's not what it looks like. I swear!"

Chloe: "Oh really? So, no reason for me to be jealous?"

Marinette: "No! You're the only one for me!"Chloe: "Is that so?"

Marinette: "I promise, Kagami and I are just dating, okay? They're my partner."

Chloe: "So there are no rival (best frenemy) feelings involved?"

Marinette: "Maybe for a bit, but you are still my one and only rival. They're just the love of my life."

Chloe: "But I'm still your arch-nemesis, right?"

Marinette: "Of course, Chloe."

Anyways, the redemption arc starts early in season one (each season in my head will last like 5–8 months; I refuse to believe that all five seasons happen in a span of 9–10 months, like I have heard was said in canon. Also, if I were to write this fic, it would be a collection of fics where a fic lasts a season of the show).

Chloe, after being the target of several akumas and because Adrien is mad/disappointed at her for the way she acts, decides to be less of a bitch. She is still mean and an asshole, but she isn't as aggressive about it. She is more passive-aggressive with her insults and is a bit sneakier when she's being mean.

Her arc during the course of events of the first season starts from "I'll act nice so that Adrien won't leave, and also because being targeted by akumas is a hassle; I am only being nice for these reasons" to "Oh shit, why does being a decent person feel good?" to "Shit, why do I feel bad about being an asshole? Why does making people upset with me make my chest hurt?" to "Oh my God, I want to be a good person for realsies. Making people happy has made me happier than I have ever been while being an asshole."

Chloe slowly becomes a better person, at first for selfish reasons, but gradually realizes that she enjoys it when people are happy because of her. She likes it when people aren't scared/angry/annoyed with her and understands that her past actions were not okay, and that she has hurt a lot of people and must face the consequences for it (people being wary of her and not trusting her change of heart).

Also, she develops her relationships with the class. I do think people like Rose would be willing to give Chloe a chance and help her. Adrien is also helping her and guiding her alongside Ms. Bustier and the butler (I don’t know his name). Additionally, I think she and Sabrina should take time apart from each other and find friends outside of each other so that they can have healthier relationships. This will also allow them to have a more healthy relationship with each other in the future.

Season 2 would focus more on her unlearning her bad behavior and learning how to be kinder. It will, of course, involve her sometimes falling back on old habits or just saying something mean without thinking about it (old habits do die hard), but she has people who understand, support her, and help her grow. Also, Chloe has insecurities and doubts about whether she can truly change; she struggles because she sees how easy it is for her classmates to be kind and good, and what that says about her. Cue that one part of the song "Love Like You."

( I do love some angsty self-worth/self-hatred issues for these types of characters.)

An exploration of Chloe's skills and hobbies would be nice, as well as a treat. She is decent when it comes to doing hotel management tasks and may interact with hotel guests, doing things like ballet, etc.

The most interesting part of this is tackling Chloe's relationship with her parents, as I’m basing this mostly on seasons 1 to 3, maybe a bit of 4 as well since I might add Zoe. But André is kind of lackluster as a dad. He has two jobs and is rarely able to spend much time with Chloe, often just giving her what she wants instead of actually parenting her and teaching her what parents would usually teach. He spoils her but is emotionally neglectful; however, he does genuinely love her and goes through his own arc of acknowledging his mistakes and becoming a better father. Audrey is still Audrey and thus a massive piece of shit who doesn’t give a damn about any of her kids unless she can find them useful, and even then, she’s still a bitch.

The fun part about this is that Chloe is very in denial about both her father's emotional neglect and her mother's behavior.

Just imagine a scene set a week before "Style Queen." Chloe is all excited and over the moon walking into class, so much so that she isn't able to hide it from her classmates. They ask her what's up, and she explains that her mom will be there. You can see the elation on Chloe's face, and her classmates are very happy for her. Chloe is excited to show her mother how much she's grown and what she has accomplished.

Then "Style Queen" happens, and things are not okay. Chloe doesn’t reveal her identity (she gets the miraculous but doesn’t realize it's a miraculous until after she gets akumatized).

A week after the events of Miracle Queen, the people of Paris, including its heroes, notice the lack of akumas showing up (only the heroes/class notice that Chloe hasn't been at school since her alumatization; coincidence they think not).

So Ladybug and Chat Noir decide to pay her a visit, and upon arriving at her balcony, they are met with the sight of Chloe pacing her room (filled with a lot of broken furniture and items), ranting while a butterfly mask is clearly on her face. They think she's been alumatized and try to talk her down.

When she sees them, she gets even angrier and asks them why they are there. They explain that they are worried about her. Chloe scoffs and tells them to leave. They ask what she's doing, and she replies,

"What does it look like? I'm keeping people from being akumatized, unlike you."

After Miracle Queen, Chloe is still angry at Ladybug, but instead of turning full villain, she decides that she is going to be a hero with or without Ladybug or the Miraculous. She'll show Ladybug what a great hero she can be and make her regret her decisions by keeping Hawkmoth from akumatizing people, which is made easy by the fact that her emotions are so potent and Hawkmoth seems to have a special interest in her (she's his favorite victim).

This results in Chloe spending the last week being followed by akumas; they cling to any item she has on her, but she never succumbs to Hawkmoth's influence (it never got her anywhere but down). She spends this time roasting Hawkmoth. When she feels unable to resist, she breaks the item the akuma is in. Her emotions are strong enough that it is still attracted to her. She is too angry, petty, and spiteful and refuses to fail her new goal.

This does not bode well for Chloe's mental and emotional health.
