(1) This metaphor carries a beauty that is hard to translate. I took some creative liberty by adding "into the void" and "final" to wish, although the original reads more literally "I plunge into my wish". I specified jumping into to the void because the narrator is describing casting a rope to h4ng themselves. So when they say they "step into the void", they're referring to stepping off the chair or platform to their demise.
