reddie’s first sex scene after the breakup was a Lot . it was so jarring to see richie fall into this role, I can’t help but feel like he was going out of his way to put on a persona, that maybe He didn’t really get into it all the way… given the way he drops Hard in the aftermath and whatnot… or maybe I’m just thinking too hard as per-usual when I send these in lmao I mean he did set off the L bomb during so I wouldn’t be surprised if that alone is the reason for it lol… many many thoughts I’m having about his behavior in this scene actually…….. Hm.

^ also as a side note about richie in general- I recently watched The Skeleton Twins which…. woah… but since then I’ve been thinking that your characterization of him is certain moments through this fic really reminds me of milo ouch ouch owie

that first sex scene after they come back together is so much catharsis coming from both sides that is very convoluted. we're seeing a very angry richie and a very regretful eddie, and they meet in such an intense way that then makes way for forgiveness by the end, so many emotions going on for both of them but especially for richie i feel he might like to pretend he's got it all figured out but somehow i don't think he dooooeeess ~~~

i am SO GLAD you have watched the skeleton twins. that is my all time favourite movie and i absolutely adore the milo character so much. i have definitely taken inspo from milo for this au version of richie so WOW touched my heart for you to see that in him... just two damaged guys who don't know how to take care of themselves (or others lol)
