If someone from SPN was in one episode in season 10 of some random show, I guess I will be watching all of the episodes up until their episode (because the context of the episode always matters, friends). This will, obviously take me a long ass time, so bare with me. First up (mostly because he has no problem being in weird ass shit that I find wildly entertaining): Misha Collins.

Thoughts: I was greatly disappointed in the amount of time Jensen Ackles was present in this movie. His total screen time was probably 45 seconds. Considering this was the main thing I was watching this movie for, I was pretty peeved to learn that his one scene was his only scene. If you would like to just watch his bit, here is the video:

Jensen Ackles expectations aside, this was an okay movie. It certainly wasn’t anything to write home about (mostly because that would be one very disgusting letter), but it was a pretty fun watch at the time.

I particularly enjoyed the competitiveness but loving connection of all the friends. It was clear that the characters cared about each other even when they were trying to make one shit their pants in front of attractive women…

However, I didn’t enjoy how unlikeable the majority of the characters would be. Out of the main characters, the only one that I truly enjoyed was Zane (James Roday Rodriguez). The rest of the characters just felt like total douche nozzles.

It proved to be very difficult to root for any of the characters because they were all such dicks to each other.

Also, I didn’t particularly enjoy how raunchy this movie was, it was kinda disgusting.

Would I recommend?: If you desperately want to watch a buddy comedy and you have seen all the good ones, sure. If you like movies about immature white guys goofing around, sure. If you need likeable characters, maybe skip this one.

Forced Supernatural connection: Jensen’s character can be looked at as Dean if supernatural beings didn’t exist

Spoiler thoughts: I feel like we really did not need a close up of Shelly’s balls getting pierced by a paintball. That is undoubtedly going to be in my nightmares for a while.

Zane was my favorite character throughout the entirety of the movie and I loved when he came out as gay at the end (although I wish the way I had realized he was gay wasn’t because he seemed to enjoy the fact that he was tricked into drinking Bender’s jizz… Jesus Christ what is this movie).

I know this is a raunchy comedy, but seriously, what the fuck. Did we really need Shelly to put Bender’s cum in everyone’s drinks?! 1. I almost threw up 2. I feel like this would qualify as sexual assault and really just not what I like to see in a comedy.

Probably my favorite part of the movie was when Bob, Doc, and Zane convince him to continue acting by helping him make his audition tape. This was one of the most powerful scenes in the movie because the guys were actually supporting each other. Sure, it wasn’t funny, but at least it had some substance (as opposed to cum in Pina Coladas).

Description: Misha Collins helps his son, West, make food of his own choice and invention. Letting him do whatever he wants, Misha is a very humorous and sarcastic sous chef as they create, oftentimes disgusting, food. Occasionally, we get to see Maison (Misha’s daughter) too!

Rating: 4/5 stars. The quality went down in the later episodes of both the food and the video editing, but I still love these videos

Misha Collins’ character rating: He’s just being himself (to my knowledge, I don’t personally know him lol), so 5 stars

Favorite episode: EPISODE 3, literally, everyone needs to watch episode 3, I was dying laughing

Thoughts: This series is amazing, it’s awesome seeing West (and Maison) grow up through these videos, Misha’s humor is amazing, and overall, it is just a really lighthearted and fun thing to watch!

Would I recommend?: Absolutely!

Episode Description: In a museum in San Francisco, the young Eric Bragg (Misha Collins) decodes an ancient board that reveals the location of the Akashic Records, where the ultimate knowledge (including the capability to see the future) is recorded. He goes to the local hospital to tell his father, who is in a coma for several weeks. Coincidently Phoebe is working as a volunteer in the hospital and she has a premonition of a demon sucking Eric's brain with his finger.

Where did I watch: I’m gonna be real, I watched this show less-than-legally so that I could easily watch it on 1.5 times speed, but you can watch it on Peacock! Or you could follow my path and watch it on 123movies, but DO NOT CLICK ON POP UPS (or go in with a pop-up/ad blocker).

Misha Collins’ acting rating: 1 star - Mishamigo, I am so sorry, but this acting was capital-B Bad. Guys, you may be thinking, “Maura [yes, that’s my name], quit being so harsh.” My dude, I am not being harsh. I love this man with all my heart, but this was Bad, I dare you to go watch this episode. You don’t need to know anything about the show except that there are 3 sisters who are witches, stay til the end, because it is all cringe)

Let us please take a moment to acknowledge how difficult it was for me to get that video. First, I had to screen record the episode. Then, I tried to import my footage into iMovie to find that the file was too big. Next, I split the footage up into 5 minute increments in order to import it into iMovie. Then, I edited out all of the parts that didn’t have Misha in them. Then, I exported that 12 minute video into YouTube. There, it remained on YouTube for about 12 hours before being taken down for copyright infringement. Next, I tried to import the video directly into Tumblr. Then, I saw that you can only import videos under 300 mb into Tumblr (which is about 3 minutes of footage). So, I then broke my video up into 3 minute increments with the intention of putting all of those videos into this post. I tried to import the footage only to be told that I can only import 1 video into this post. So, I decided I would then make my 12 minute video into a 3 minute video, including only the cringiest acting moments. I then cut down my video and imported it into this Tumblr post. I then wrote out this spiel (though slightly different). I then saved a draft of this post with the video, this explanation, and my review of the show. Tumblr then told me that they had server problems, so they lost this spiel and the video. Luckily, I had saved a draft before these two items, so I had everything but this and the video (but I did still have the video in my camera roll, it just didn’t successfully import to Tumblr). So then I made a new post with just the video. I then linked the post in this post, and then rewrote what you are reading now. I am going to go take 10 naps now.

Thoughts on show as a whole: Wowie, do I have thoughts.

First, what kind of god did Phoebe piss of that her only power is to sometimes-maybe see the sometimes-maybe accurate future? We got Ms. Telekinesis, Ms. Time-Freezer, and Ms. *checks notes* barely-psychic?!

Second, literally all of the sisters’ problems can be solved by Piper freezing time and then plunging that special dagger they now have into the creature’s chest! Like, bruh, I know you are trying to entertain us for 40 minutes, but come on, use your forking powers.

Third, let’s talk about Andy and the police. Okay, so in the first season, a lot of the supernatural cases that the sisters were dealing with connected with ongoing cases that the police department was working on. This created a lot of genre between Prue and her then-love-interest Andy, but realistically, it made zero sense. For example, in the first episode, the police are after a serial killer (yes, a MOTHERFORKING SERIAL KILLER). The killer turns out to be a warlock that Piper has been unknowingly dating. The sisters hold hands and say “the power of three will set us free” which makes the warlock combust and die. You might be saying, “okay…” No, it is not okay! Because by the end of the episode, the police have completely forgotten that they had a SERIAL KILLER to catch. This happens EVERY episode. Sometimes, the girls are even suspected as being a part of the crime, but after they kill the real bad guy, the police just act like everything is fine and dandy and basically say, “crime, what crime?” (They do have an episode where the police eventually do realize how the girls have been involved in every police case, but they quickly clean up this suspicion too in A Series of Overly Convenient Events)

This show gives me similar vibes to Gilmore Girls, minus the witty banter, overarching plots, and any positive qualities. It is also gives me similar vibes to Supernatural because it is about siblings fighting supernatural creatures, minus the sense of humor, consequences for actions, dramatic elements, and any other positive qualities.

I guess I kinda like how simple this show is because it follows a monster-of-the-week format and consistently sticks to it without any overarching themes, so it is good for tuning out the world for a bit without genuinely committing show itself.

Thoughts on Misha Collins’ episode: In terms of the episode plot, this was a pretty average episode of this show. The hearing thoughts storyline was interesting and the girls were funny together (as funny as this show gets, because this show’s writers are no masters of comedy). The monster of the week storyline was just kinda dumb tho. Let’s review:

1. This young man (Eric/Misha) is the only person who has EVER solved the map? No one else is even standing there trying?

2. The monsters were actually counting on this young (not very intelligent seeming) man to solve the map, even though they could have just restored the father’s brain so that he (the much more experienced decoder) could solve it

3. Seriously, NO ONE else has found the Akashic records, but this idiot, who has no personality aside from loving his father, can?

4. How many times can you say, “Dad!” before the viewer gets annoyed? I’ll tell you, when it is young Misha saying it, only 1.

5. Seriously, what is the rest of Eric’s personality?!

6. They seriously cast the role of Eric thinking he was gonna be a recurring character, but they couldn’t have made him an appealing character?!

7. Have I told you guys how much I hated Eric yet?

8. Surely someone has taken a photo of the map to the Akashic records before, someone can still find them.

9. If Eric thinks that the Akashic records will get rid of free will, why would he work so hard to decode the map? Seriously just because his father wanted to?

10. Will his father now ask Eric to help him decode the Akashic records because he has done it before? I mean, it was the father’s life’s work, and Eric only cares about helping his father, so surely they will work to decode it together again, right? Will he find them and get rid of free will? If not, then why did he want to decode the map in the first place? Surely he hasn’t had a full force character development when he only got like 2 minutes of screen time. Surely we will hear of him and the Akashic records again, right? Wrong. They are never spoken of again.

Would I recommend?: I would recommend watching this episode if you want to see how much Misha has progressed as an actor. However, I would not recommend watching this show unless you have some nostalgic connection to it. I, unfortunately, did not have a nostalgic connection to this show, so I was watching it with the same criticism that I watch shows made now. If you are going to watch this show now, just keep in mind that they didn’t think about the accuracy of their storylines and humor was different back then.

Supernatural connection: Twice in this episode, Misha’s character asks Phoebe if she is an angel. Misha’s character also destroys the map tablet because of his belief in the importance of free will (Team Free Will, much?).

Where did I watch: Netflix

Rating: 4 stars - This movie was really good, but I absolutely despised nearly all the characters. The only character I can definitively say I liked was Valerie Owens (Played by Whoopi Goldberg)

Misha Collins’ acting rating: 2 - I’m so sorry Misha, but your acting wasn’t amazing back then, but you are now an AMAZING actor, so there is that :D You were really good at acting just 4 years later in Moving Alan, and you should be proud of that.

Thoughts: This movie was very good and, obviously, just an iconic movie. That being said, I found this movie incredibly depressing. The tone felt very detached and emotionless, which reflected the attitudes of the characters, and makes the viewer feel the same as the characters.

I really do wish that Misha Collins was in this movie more than he was, that being said, his acting was really not great. Angelina Jolie definitely did the best acting in this movie; I know this because I absolutely wanted to murder her.

Would I recommend?: As long as you are not struggling with intense mental problems, yes.

- I cannot believe Lisa taunted Daisy so bad that she killed herself; Lisa deserves the death penalty (I don’t actually believe in the death penalty, but still)

- I also really wish that Daisy’s father went to jail. Everyone knows what he did to Lisa, he deserves punishment.

- Susanna being racist to Valerie made me want to murder her

- I am glad Susanna got “better,” but I’m just not sure that she actually is.*

Misha Collins’ acting rating: 5 stars - Misha’s ability to switch between characters is amazing

Supernatural connection: This has Mark Pellegrino and Misha Collins in it!

Would I recommend?: Honestly, no. This movie felt incredibly long and I overall don’t think that it was worth the time it took to watch because basically nothing happened. Also, Misha doesn’t show up until near the end, and Pellegrino was dead most of the movie.

Thoughts: Well, that was certainly something. I found this movie to be decent and it had its funny bits, but it was incredibly long, it was not incredibly engaging, and there was not a lot going on visually most of the time. I enjoyed every scene with Misha because his character was the most interesting. Overall, this was an okay movie and the sister relationship was interesting (and Misha’s relationship with the sisters) and the humor was funny (at times), but it was not amazing or engaging.

Spoiler thoughts: I was literally shook-eth when it turned out that Pellegrino’s character was still alive! I really appreciated that Missy didn’t try to get back with Alan when it turned out he was alive. I thought there was a pretty good chance she would take him back, but I really enjoyed that she has learned to respect herself more and didn’t do that.

Thoughts: WHAT THE FUCK!? This was certainly not what I was expecting. Going into this, I had not read the description, and figured, “wow, so kind of MIsha Collins to create a short film to warn children about interacting with stranger… sure, I’m sure a lot of other people have made similar films, but I appreciate Collins’ effort.” Man, oh man was I wrong. This is, instead a cautionary tale for those considering kidnapping… well, kinda. I can’t imagine Collins actually thought a bunch of pedophiles would 1. Watch this video or 2. Change their ways after watching this video, but it was still incredibly entertaining and unexpected. I definitely thought this kid was a goner, but the result was quite the contrary, and that plot twist was enough to make this 2 minute short film great.

Misha Collins’ character rating: 3 stars - I didn’t hate his character, but I surely didn’t love him. I didn’t love any of the characters TBH.

Misha Collins’ acting rating: 4 stars - I apologize, but that southern accent ain’t it.

Thoughts: Well, uhm, this was certainly something. I genuinely don’t even know how to go about telling you what I thought about this movie. The plot was… interesting. Might I just say that tarantula girl can do so much better than Misha’s character (not looks-wise, but personality-wise for sure). The movie was just dumb in the first half with *some* funny bits, but it went fricking off the rails at the end.

Here are some of my thoughts from when it went off the rails:

1. Why on earth does that golf course low-key look amazing.

2. What the fuck?: “Don’t hit the cactus, it’s illegal and haunted.”

3. Why is Walt magically the most cultured and useful person in the whole family? He was naked and bedridden 20 seconds ago.

4. Oh my god. I’m so sorry, everyone just go to this movie on YouTube and fast forward to 1:18:20. This scene perfectly sums up this movie.

Would I recommend?: Honestly, probably not. But if you have drugs at your disposal (keep in mind I have never done drugs, so I am not speaking from experience), get high as a kite, and then fast forward to 1:12:10. Watch the rest of the movie from here, and I think you will have a wonderful time - as long as you are high. If you do not have drugs, you can still watch it from this time stamp, but you might not enjoy it as much. I just wouldn’t recommending watching the whole movie, because it is just a waste of an hour and a half tbh.

One reviewer on letterboxds.com said, “watching this high as fuck is quite hilarious but this is just awful. misha collins is pretty as always, but my god this is horrendous.” This reviewer is 100% accurate.

Disclaimer: Misha Collins himself has recommended that no one watch this movie because of the unethical way that the creators depicted real life criminals and victims of assault and murder. I wholeheartedly respect this recommendation, however, I unfortunately watched this movie before I heard Misha’s warnings, so here we are.

Where did I watch: Honestly, I am proud to say that I illegally pirated this movie. I didn’t know about any controversy when I watched it, but in retrospect, I have the opposite of regrets in regards to my illegal streaming of this movie.

Rating: 3 stars (I know it doesn’t ethically deserve it, but this is my unbiased rating based entirely off of only my viewing of this movie - I decided on this rating immediately after watching and before I read anything about it)

Of course, after learning what I have about this movie, I would give it 1 star.

Misha Collins’ character rating: 0 stars - his character (and the real-life person) deserved a public execution (and I don’t even believe in the death penalty)

Misha Collins’ acting rating: 4 stars - I think Misha did a great job at coming off as a villainous psychopath, but (and I mean this with all due respect to Mr. Collins) I believe he should have researched his role more before he accepted it, should’ve been more prepared for interviews about the sensitive nature of this movie, and overall should have just handled this whole thing a lot better. From all the stories he tells, I feel like he has not properly acknowledged the harm that this role has done. Don’t get me wrong, Collins is one of my favorite people from the Supernatural cast, but I think he should, in this instance, properly acknowledge the harm he has caused rather than looking for sympathy by telling comedic stories (such as the story wherein he was approached by an interviewer and was made to look like a bad person - sorry Mish, but you did come off as insensitive in your answer to the interviewer’s question).

Thoughts: This movie is incredibly disturbing. I don’t know how to describe it other than saying that I did not enjoy the way it made me feel. I think I felt “sympathetic?” toward Karla, and that is fine and dandy (though still quite disturbing) if this was a work of fiction, but it’s not. These are real people that committed real crimes, and no sense of sympathy should be built for any of these characters. Honestly, the fact that this movie even exists kind of disgusts me - I honestly don’t know what purpose it serves other than building sympathy for these murderers/abusers.

Favorite episode: Just Relax

Thoughts: This show is amazing. I am literally dying laughing. Misha Collins has found my exact sense of humor and created a show around it, and I am eternally grateful. I like weird shit, and this is the epitome of weird. The concepts were perfect, the acting was perfect, the scripts were perfect, everything was perfect. I loved this stupid show.

Would I recommend?: If you like weird shit, yes. If you like Misha Collins, yes (especially episode 2 (Just Relax) because it was very Misha-centric). If you want to see Danneel Ackles, yup (she’s in episode 1). If you don’t like weird shows, maybe skip this one.

Supernatural connection: In “Just Relax,” if you ship Destiel, just act like the fella wearing flannel is Dean; it is not that far of a stretch and I am not entirely convinced this is unintentional.

Episode 1 - Suspicious Bulges

- The music when they are pulling out the “fetal assist” machine is everything xD

- This is fucking horrifying; the hand moving around in her stomach tho. I can’t…

- Oh my god, all the liquid that came off that glove, I’m gonna throw up

- This is the weirdest shit I have ever seen, but I thoroughly enjoyed it

Episode 2 - Just Relax

- The romantic lighting, music, and flirting, this is a masterpiece

- The chemistry, the intense unadulterated chemistry is magnificent

- Just when they are about to kiss and my boy just screams “all clear” directly into his face, I think I just died. I sound like a hyena dying with how much I am laughing right now.

- This is absolutely brilliant

Episode 3 - Yeah, but is it ticking?

Description: Inspired by their experiences at Supernatural conventions, it is part improv, part scripted comedy. Rob Benedict and Richard Speight Jr. (and everyone else in the series - except Misha, Misha weirdly plays a random fella with a monkey) play dramatized version of themselves over the course of the Supernatural convention season.

Thoughts: Honestly, I loved this show. It is like Curb Your Enthusiasm, but for SPN fans. The comedy was great, the concept was great, and it gets even more meta in the last episode. I got to see my favorite actors kinda, sorta playing themselves, and it was great. I really wish I could get a season two, but alas I am stuck rewatching season one.

Would I recommend?: If you like Supernatural, yes. If you like comedy, yes. If you like Curb Your Enthusiasm, yes. Honestly, yes, I recommend this to anyone reading.

Other notes: There is a Kings of Con podcast which is just Rob and Rich talking to each other, I highly recommend listening to it, because it is very enjoyable. (There was also another podcast made before this one called And My Guest is Richard Speight which is also very good)

- The scene in the supply closet was probably my favorite, they certainly fit a lot of Supernatural cast members into that one closet

- Great episode, I was dying laughing

- It was so funny when Rob accidentally called the cops and ran to Rich’s room

Episode 4

- Another great episode

- I loved the scene where Kent O’Grady was like 2 inches away from Rob’s face, that was hilarious

Episode 5

- A decent episode

- Not incredibly memorable tbh

Episode 6

- My favorite episode of the series (probably)

- The whole concept was just amazing and hilarious, loved it

Episode 7

- A pretty good episode

- Serge is very funny in this episode

Episode 8

- Decent episode

- Pretty forgettable

Episode 9

- Probably my second favorite episode of the series

- Another great concept and very funny moments

Episode 10

- A really good end to the series

- I loved seeing Jensen, Jared, and Misha

Thoughts: Honestly, I wasn’t a huge fan of this show. I found this show thoroughly confusing, but not in a way that I really enjoyed (though I did enjoy the open-ended nature of the end). I feel like there were a lot of fight scenes that were just kinda boring (to be fair, I fell asleep during the epic battle in Avengers: Endgame, so I may not be the best source on when fight scenes are cool…). Overall, the series wasn’t incredibly memorable, but it was decent while watching. The ending did leave me saying, “what the actual fuck?” which was honestly what I was expecting when I started watching shows involving Misha Collins.

Thoughts: I freaking loved this podcast. It has it all: intrigue, humor, and emotion. Misha Collins’ character was quite annoying at times, but overall, his character (and a side character named Vipin) ended up being my favorite of the entire podcast. I cannot wait for season 2.
