Envy Mind and Tenacity of Purpose

I don’t mean a parent that you fight with or disagree with. I mean one who seems sometimes like they care about you and really don’t, who takes your love and never return it, who hurts you just as deeply as if they abused you physically, who leave deep scars on your mind and your heart.

This post is not meant to stigmatize.

What isn’t okay is lying in order to get those things, and to me, that is inexcusable. Lying in order to manipulate people into giving you what you want is in my book, one of the most foul things that a human is capable of. If you need something, you tell someone. People are not play things for you, and you know what? Nobody owes you anything. 

I repeat: Nobody in this world owes you a damn thing. 

You are entitled to what you want, and you are entitled to your aspirations, but those things will not be handed to you without payment. Failure to realize that will result only in a trail of ex friends and lovers— and your fogged, clouded mind making you ask why everyone hates you for no reason. 

If you can’t be honest with yourself, you’ll spend this entire lifetime wandering around in a fog. You know what? People are shitty. You are a people. People are selfish, people want strange and frivolous things…but that’s okay. You’re just as gross as the rest of us. You can only move forward from a place where you can accept and love yourself; even the icky parts. In doing so though, you better learn some goddamned humility and learn; really learn the fact that you’re a piece of meat on a floating rock in a corner of the universe. The world doesn’t revolve around you; only your world revolves around you, and that is something that most people are yet to understand.
