Wrong. Iβm anything but an antisemite. I have amazing jewish friends, and Iβm close with their families too. Iβve celebrated countless jewish holidays, attended birthdays and funerals, cried and laughed even more with these people, many of whom became my chosen family. I was always welcomed into their homes and always made to feel loved. Most of my jewish friendsβ families had the option to move to Israel but didnβt.
When three generations of jewish people tell me they do not support whatβs happening in Palestine, I choose to believe them and listen to what they have to say. Why? Because they lived it. Because they have family members who died in the camps. Because they carry the generational trauma of how the world treated them and how the world stood by while the unimaginable happenedβ¦to children, the elderly, to men and women who simply wanted to live their lives like everyone else. How can I be an antisemite when I love these people and when I know how much pain they carry as they speak about the suffering, their own and this of Palestinians and how afraid they are that the world could one day turn on them again? But even if that werenβt the caseβ¦ Palestinian people are people, just like you and me. They want to raise their kids in safe environments. They want food on the table and a safe roof over their heads. They want to lay their heads down at night on something soft, not be terrified by every single sound. They want to spend time with their families, hug their grandmothers, drive a car for the first time with their dads, help their moms cook, and sit around a table where the whole family is present, alive, and well.Do not come to my blog with that zio bs again. Read a book. Go outside and touch some grass. Why? Because you can. Millions of people have been violently robbed of the basic human right to existβ¦Bitch.
