Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate!
Last week I began one of my favorite looking weapons from Breath of the Wild; the Duplex Bow. Progress is going very smoothly.
I want to keep the weight down so I am layering a lot of foam and foil underneath the clay. Still lots of work to do but this is what I have been up to!

It's hard to find the right faux fur when length of hair, thickness, and the thickness of the netting its sewn to all have to be very, very precise. I sifted through a lot of swatches, but nothing worked. The fur that was perfect had too thick a netting and would swallow the pommel. I ended up brushing out bundles of yarn and using those bundles for the fur detailing. It works for now, but would be more effective had I picked up yarn with more mixed colors or mixed my own.
The leather wrap and yarn are not glued on. It's all held together with tension and can be taken apart if I ever need to make adjustments. I avoid glue when I can if it makes sense.

I only downloaded the image for reference and spent a while trying to find the original post but I haven’t any luck. It’s also on the Surprised Pikachu ‘Know your Meme’ page but there isn’t a user to go with it. If anyone knows who did the original pixel work, I’d love to give them proper credit!

Good morning and sorry for the silence!
Today is my birthday! I’ve been busy both with my standard job and taking some time to play a few games. I usually slow down propmaking near the end of the year, mainly due to lots of games and shows being released. Outside of that, I’m working on potentially selling copies of my Skyrim daggers later on at the beginning of early next year! I’m working on a few things before preparing the molding and casting process.

This is where we are at with the nordic dagger! Aside from tidying up some spots and battle damage, all that's left is the pommel which is currently a slap o' curin' clay.
I've been asked a handful of times if I'll be making casts or completed kits of these daggers and selling them. Honestly I would love to, but the price of starting that up is a little too steep right now. But I may in the future! The idea is there! Keep a look out I suppose. Also pushing my insta a lot for more regular updates and progress shots!
