I once again re-designed my GRIT units for my homebrew D&D setting of Gloryanna. I felt the previous designs were too stiff so I just re-did them over again.

Mandy The Mutilator is an NPC from my homebrew DnD game of Gloryanna. She's a hard-hitting enforcer for the Lifeblood Crime Family in the city of Appleseed.

JULIA REVERE ENGAGED! 8th, Sweetdrift 1581 Love is in the air today as JULIA REVERE; daughter of mining tycoon MONTGOMERY REVERE has tied the knot with BRANDON MERRY. Brandon and Julia have reportedly been in a relationship for the past 2 years which was the subject of much hot gossip! Brandon was spotted proposed to her during her brother's birthday party at the Revere Cottage Home in BRASSBELL. Both families have so far voiced their blessings and good tiding to this pairing. However, no word yet from the bride's father. There's been no information yet about when and where the couple will be getting hitched. However, it appears no expense will be spared as the engagement ring has been valued at 800 golden eagles! According to our star reading experts, it appears that this wedding will be very blessed and fortunate as long as the wedding takes place within the year. However, their good fortune will be tested if the wedding is to extend outside this year's window. - Kill-Doom The Violator

RONALD RUMSGOLD CAUGHT IN SHOCKING SCANDAL AFTER LOST CHILD IS FOUND! 16th, Dragonsdream 1582 Earlier today, GRIT Mounted Rangers found the lost child Topher just outside the southern forests of NORTH GLORYANNA! As you may already know, TOPHER was a runaway from APPLESEED ORPHANAGE HALL who has been missing for nearly a tenday. He's reported to be alive and in good health and will be returning to the care of his caretaker FRANCESCA THESSA soon. However, it would seem the news does not end here! In previous weeks, FRANCESCA THESSA has spoken out about a man named RONALD RUMSGOLD, a rich merchant from the EMPRESSARIAN ISLES. Allegedly, Ronald paid a previous caretaker to rid himself of a son outside of wedlock and it's believed that TOPHER is that son. With TOPHER returned, the recently rescued boy has confirmed that the claims are true. TOPHER RUMSGOLD is in fact the son of RONALD RUMSGOLD and was indeed disposed in the care of the foster system at an early age. With this new witness testimony, this has caused waves within the RUMSGOLD estate and has opened a new investigation into Mr. Rumsgold and his business. Current reports are saying that Ronald abandoned Topher's mother when she fell ill with SUSANNA'S PLAGUE and there is strong evidence suggesting that Ronald did in fact dispose of any history of his past relationships. So far, as recompense, RONALD RUMSGOLD SENIOR, the patriarch of the family, has offered 200 000 golden eagles to the orphanage. Rumsgold Senior had this to say: "I hope the world can forgive the actions of my prideful and arrogant son. A large part of our family had no knowledge of the harm and suffering that my son has caused. I offer this gold knowing that it may not be enough to repair the damage that has been done to that boy over the years but I hope it can be a start. If Topher wishes, I hope to see him and offer him an official standing within our family if he's willing to forgive us." There's been no reply from Topher yet but he's currently safe, healthy and resuming his life at Appleseed Orphanage Hall with his friends. When asked what had happened within that forest, we are unable to report this information yet as HAWK is still verifying but we expect updates soon. - Arizona Blue-Bird

7th, Dragonsdream 1582 Grim news today as it's been reported by GRIT authorities that the STARFALL GANG has just recently made a daring escape from their transport! GRIT is warning all citizens of Gloryanna to be on the lookout for the STARFALL GANG as they are believed to be armed and extremely dangerous! The escape has caused the death of several GRIT patrol guards in a bloodthirsty and violent action. HAWK will be assisting GRIT in hunting down these fugitives and bounties for their capture will be declared soon. It's believed that the wheeled engine's schedule was leaked to the CACTUS JACKEE GANG which allowed for a very precise and unexpected ambush utilizing heavy artillery. Among the dead include DATSO RAVEN, the notorious kenku thief; CHAYVIN BALLZACK, infamous mercenary and COOL HAND DUKE, a member of the CACTUS JACKEE GANG. COOL HAND DUKE was wanted for multiple accounts of murder; robbery and assault and is also believed to be good friends with the STARFALL GANG, assisting their escape. The guards who have fallen are RICARDO DOUGLAS and WALT GOODIE. RICARDO DOUGLAS leaves behind a wife and two children. WALT was a young pillar of his community who is loved by his mother. Their funerals will be held on the 12th of the Dragonsdream. - B.G. Louis

6th, Dragonsdream 1582 The STARFALL GANG, (Formerly known as the STARFALL FOUR) has finally been captured by GRIT authorities with the help of HAWK Knight Agents! The elusive criminals, wanted for their connection to the destroyed ship off the JACKALOPE PENINSULA and various crimes onboard the SS STARFALL, are believed to have been hiding in APPLESEED for some time now. After the case changed hands to HAWK, the Knight Agents have been largely credited with the arrest. So far, only one member of the STARFALL GANG remains free which is the unnamed melonhead that is believed to be still be hiding in the city somewhere. Ever since arriving in APPLESEED, it's believed this gang has been responsible for various crimes around the city including conspiracy to commit robbery; arson; domestic terrorism; suspected kidnapping; and assault. Along with the captured three, an additional member of the gang has been captured who appears to be a sasquatch named HANK. Hank, as for as we can tell, has no prior crimes so his motives remain a mystery. The gang will be transported to DUCKSBILL PRISON the following morning where they'll be held and tried for their crimes. Once they're before court and within a zone of truth spell, perhaps we will finally understand the mystery behind the cause of the shipwreck where they were found. - B.G. Louis

INNIK FOX-BEARD has been said to have reassured customers of the hotel that construction noise will be kept to a minimum and there's no real big plans for the current construction. "We're not planning anything extravagant. It's just closed for repairs for currently so we can't have guests in that area of the hall until it's complete" is all that he had to be say on the matter. While rumors spread, the manager of the hotel, NOAH NERMAN has reassured everyone that construction will be complete very, very soon. Though the amount of time being spent on basic refurbishing or repairs is suspicious, at the moment, there's really nothing further to deliberate on the matter. According to many of the staff, it's best not to get the people's hopes up and to simply look forward to a new closet for the hotel. Despite the rumors and speculation, things carry on at the hotel like usual. - B.G. Louise

In the meantime; GRIT has reported 89% of the bodies of the wreckage have been reclaimed.  The cause of the shipwreck is still unknown but there’s speculation that a new type of weapon may be responsible.  The name of the destroyed ship is still unknown. -B.G. Louise   

Since the early days of the orphanage, he suggests that the needs of the children have become greater and the funding has been stretched thin as more children are bought in each day.  Father Faithkind has the following to say on the matter: “The times are changing and unfortunately, the orphans grow in number.  It’s an unfortunate statistic and it has set back our plans quite a bit.  I do keep my promises however and I guarantee we’ll see some changes soon! I’m also implementing new systems within our caretaking as we’ve bought in more volunteers to care for the children’s safety and we’re teaching them a trades-based education so they have a more independent future when the time comes for them to leave.  They might be coming in as lost children but I promise you they will come out as functioning adults and members of society.” In the meantime, it’s been a year since we’ve seen Mother Thessa in public but Father Faithkind assures us that she is doing well and in great care.  He also says that she has so far been very agreeable with his plans and the future for the orphanage are looking bright.  As Mother Thessa was a paladin in her younger years; the illness came as a shock.  Father Faithkind has explained however that Mother Thessa has simply left Ilmater’s service for a different purpose and so she no longer walks a paladin’s path.  This is of course still debated by other theologians as there are some retired paladin’s who’ve kept their immunity to illness and some who haven’t.      - Arizona Blue-Bird

The current head of GRIT is SHERIFF MARSHALL JOHN HENRY.  The Sheriff Marshall is the highest rank within this organization.  The ranks within GRIT are varied with those working within cities and towns being PATROLLERS while the more powerful units, the MOUNTED RANGERS, patrol the wilderness and roads.  Each of these units all follow a GRIT Sheriff who in turn report to the Sheriff Marshall. The most elite unit of GRIT are Trailblazers.  The Trailblazers are very experienced and blessed soldiers who explore incredibly dangerous territory.  They hunt monsters and creatures that the Mounted Rangers aren’t prepared for.  They are also the first line of defense against aggressive dragons.  The Trailblazers are a very rare sight in towns and cities as they spend most of their time within the wild.  If you’re ever in trouble; need rescuing or have seen a dangerous monster nearby, it’s in your best interest to find GRIT as soon as possible.
