there are no hard rules for human interaction but honestly i think everyone online would benefit hugely from operating under the assumption that, unless you have been given a specific reason to think otherwise in discrete instances, internet strangers do not want to be approached with:
your trauma, illnesses, or deep-rooted self worth issues
any come-ons or sexual content
over-familiar playful rudeness
information about your dnd characters/ocs
disagreements with their harmless subjective opinions
if it is your first time speaking with someone i can not highly enough recommend that these do not be your opening topics
something that has happened enough that it’s officially a Pattern of internet behavior: i will make a tweet that’s like, a jokey headcanon about a piece of media, and then someone i’ve never spoken to before in my life will come into the replies to try and offer a directly contradictory and actively depressing take. and either within their initial reply, or once i’ve expressed polite disagreement, they’ll make sure i know that the reason they have this headcanon is because they’re projecting their own trauma or self worth issues onto a fictional character.
and the thing that really gets me about this is that i am like 90% sure these people don’t have any ill intentions or even think they’re particularly overstepping. but i just can not fathom what the intended response to these things. i have NO idea what sort of reaction they’re looking for. it’s such a weird and uncomfortable spot to be put in. it’s a great way to get instantly put on my mental list of people to never engage with in the future
TS3: Facial Expressions Converted From The Sims Medieval
This is a mod that replaces The Sims 3's set of facial idle animations with their (slightly tweaked by myself) The Sims Medieval counterparts, resulting in subtler, more natural facial expressions. 🙂

This little package is one I've had in my personal folder for quite a while, but recently I got back to working on it to fix a couple issues and make some small adjustments before putting it out there.
The mod replaces 15 (out of a total of 20) facial expressions for Sims aged teen and up with their equivalents from Medieval. The 5 remaining expressions are left intact because they are identical in both games. These facial expressions are those that Sims make when idle depending on their mood; the expressions they make during interactions, socials, etc. are unaffected by this mod.
Though the facial expressions in TSM are far from perfect, the artists definitely learned a few lessons from TS3. TSM's facial expressions have reduced clipping and noticeably less distortion of the Sim's facial features, which means we can bid goodbye to Sims' eyelashes clipping through their eyebrows, noses scrunched up to oblivion, and humanly impossible facial contortions. Your mileage may vary, of course, depending on each particular Sim's facial slider combo; you will likely see more distorted animations on more distorted faces.

Now, on to the slight tweaks mentioned earlier:
By default, all facial expressions have a full blinking animation and a "noblink" pose. The TSM animations had some sort of blinking, but the Sim's eyes didn't actually close for some reason, so I took care of that for every facial expression this mod touches to bring them more in line with the few remaining TS3 ones.
The Sad 1 animation originally looked quite awkward around the lips, with the bottom corners being pulled out while the rest of the mouth was shut; I pulled those corners back up to make the facial expression a little more bearable to look at.
Moreover, from the beginning I thought the Sad expression would fit the angry mood better, so I've also made an alternate version of the mod that swaps around some expressions. In the alternate version, TSM's Sad will replace TS3's Angry 1 (untouched by the main version; not pictured in the previews,) TSM's Sad 1 will replace TS3's Sad, and TS3's Sad 1 will remain the same as vanilla.
Compatibility
Both versions of this mod have slightly different sets of replacements for a_expression_ and a_expressions_ CLIP resources, and will conflict with any other mod that replaces these resources.
This mod is technically compatible with other mods that alter different resources in order to change the frequency of, or entirely disable, the facial expressions, such as Esmeralda's No making stupid faces when idle. Of course, if you used that mod, then you'd never see the facial expressions this one has to offer. 😉

Choose either the main version or the alternate version. Place the .package in your usual Packages folder or in your Overrides folder.

speaking as both an artist and a game dev student, the fact that people were so quick to jump to pocket pair’s (the company behind palworld) defense in regards to ripping off pokemon was highly concerning. even though there is evidence that they have literally ripped at least one model from pokemon directly.
and there is also no denying they have taken at least some “inspiration” regarding their other designs.
and a lot of people may go “there’s no problem, they’re ripping off nintendo who is a huge company”. well, if they can get away with ripping off nintendo, what happens when they start ripping off smaller companies?
at first glance, what game do you think this is? nope, it’s not actually hollow knight. this is pocket pair’s upcoming game “never grave: the with and the curse”. hollow knight was made by only three people. that is a far cry from nintendo’s massive company.
and although usage of ai generation may not be used in palworld, the company its from is no stranger to using ai art for their other games.
palworld exists as a novelty, haha funny pokemon game but with guns. but the moment you look into it, the company its from does some shady things. personally i would not want to support a company like it
You also forgot the part where Pocket Pair plagiarized fan pokemon designs with no compensation or credit.

biggest mindfuck is the fact that it can be so so difficult to tell the difference between when it's time for "do it bored/scared/stupid but by jove just do it" and when it's time for "if it sucks hit the bricks"
Thinking about all the ways love presents itself in lisa even if some ways are more harmful than others but rn I wanna focus on the companions and how some of their love benefits them or shows that they have more thought put into them than what's on the surface. I want to know what drove carp to dedicate his life to helping orphaned children and why he hates child abuse so much. I like how even though he's the worst wrestler in olathe, shocklord continues to be involved in wrestling because it's something he loves and it makes him happy so it's enough in his eyes to keep pursuing. I think about how birdie never stops thinking about his kids no matter how long the time passes without them. Bo wanting nothing more than to see his brother again. Rooster and his love for his pet chickens. I admire how lisa manages to make its companions so human and interesting just through a few lines of dialouge or a couple sentences of a backstory.
Op, thank you so much for saying this. I have been dying to talk about Queen Roger. I think about him a lot, and he's one of my fave characters ever. I think he's written the way he is to make the player think. Like he's violent, brutal, takes no shit, tells people off, and so on. (Very interested by the fact that he has a history of this before the flash). But his violence and aggression isn't what defines him or what he sees as what defines him. Clearly being someone who's dealt with so much adversity he tries to make room for people, values showing emotional vulnerability, and letting others know they're valued and loved, understands and respects others boundaries. I like to think he knows that yeah his violence is a survival skill, but his compassion is an even bigger one. I think about his last line of dialogue about doing the right thing and how imo thats always been one of his main priorites as a person. Idk if i articulated this well bc my thoughts are all over the place bc there's so much to him that I love and want to talk about more eventually.
