Hey everyone remember when I tried to give you all updates....yeah it um...it's been awhile.
But here's one!!!!
Soooo yeah it's been a bit and heat and a few things in real life that's been happening I haven't really felt the most... creative. But here's a few small things that are in the works.
For starters Controlled Experiment has been uploaded almost every Saturday on a side Tumblr but gets reblog here so if you see the lovely art made by @kiwiaqua10 be sure to give it s follow.
Thought bubble is getting the final redo and I can't wait to show off the sketches which also will be outlined and colored by artists that I have hired to the team!
Keep an eye out for another blog soon because an old series will be getting worked on very soon.
Diode is in the script writing process and soo artist @glitterynerdwerewolf will be working on it!
Hollows will be returning soon along with Jackie's everyday adventure and outside thought that is also in the script stage.
Some more Look Outside character exploration animations; walk cycles for Jeanne and Audrey, a transformation sequence for Leigh and some camera work for Lyle. Process notes under the cut.
Jeanne - very fascinated by her trunk; itâs a gorgeous sprite, but itâs hard to tell exactly whatâs going on with it, so of course I had to try to lay it all out logically. Heavy, lumbering gait on four (five?) legs that I could probably make a little clumsier lookingâĻ ah well. Animating the severed necks would be an exercise in weight and auxiliary movement that I donât quite have the energy for yet.
Audrey - Much like Cabinet Man before her, Audreyâs combination of precise, geometric form moved by organic components makes her a bit of a pain to animate, but fun nontheless. I like how her sprite gives her stompy feetâĻ she must be kinda top-heavy, so I wonder if I should have made her list side-to-side more? Eh, perhaps a future goal. I gave her toe beans becauseâĻ it just felt right.
Leigh - The sprites for this game arenât exactly the most consistant, so it took a while to figure out exactly what was going on with The Grinning Beast. I did want to animate a transformation sequence though, so I did my best with the available information. Hopefully this doesnât count as nsfwâĻ itâs cartoon logic ok
Lyle - Lyleâs camera and suite of eyes are definitely able to move around his chest (neck, technically) Once again, the sprites arenât quite consistant, but you can see the camera clearly pointing head-on with his eyes rearranged to accomodate it when you peek at him, as opposed to carried upright on his âshoulderâ during his bossfight. I thought that was really neat, so I wanted to conceptualize how his eyes would make way for the aparatus. Five pairs make for ten in all, as well as the aparatusâ three partners (view finders, perhaps?) I neglected the bellows for the eyes for simplicityâs sake (once again, cabinet man problem) but I tried to give them all a little extra personality to make up for it.
