ok im just gonna say it, people WAY overuse jester/clown imagery in relation to Kefka. He's never refered to as/compared to either in ff6. his clothes are just colorful and mismatched, that doesnt particularly mean they resemble any example of clown/jester attire in real life clown history. He is a military figure (or former if you wanna say court mage does not count, but he's still out there on the field doing the war crimes so i'd say combination disgraced/demoted military figure and evil fucking wizard) who literally just looks like that. For swag purposes, I guess, because besides having exaggerated mannerisms and a childish/colorful manner of speaking there's literally nothing about him that could make him entertaining to anyone else, and he certainly never tries to be. If there's anyone he amuses, it's himself, and always at someone else's expense. I'd even go so far as to say he was never even particularly silly until Dissidia hit him with the big flanderization stick. (especially NT , which did nothing compelling with him other than give him looney tunes sound effects and zoom in on him doing that weird hip thrust thing)
