For someone who promised herself she would never step foot back in this town. Gotta say I only flipped off one person driving from the airport, and my iced chai from the lima bean wasn't too cold. here’s what you missed on…
After graduating McKinley, Finn's "gap year", if it could even be called that, was pretty much a mess. From the failed engagement, to the failed stint in the army, he was pretty much at rock bottom.
The light at the end of the tunnel came from his brief time coaching the glee club and attending classes at Lima Community College. He actually enjoyed it, and thought it was high time he got his head out of his ass and went school, no matter how loudly the voice in his head said he couldn't make it.
He graduated from the University of Cincinnati, something he never thought he could accomplish when he was in high school. Sure, it was a touch later than everyone else in his grade, but he had that diploma, a Bachelor's in Athletic Training, which allowed him to pursue a career in the sport he loved so much.
He stayed in Cincinnati post-grad, and eventually got a job at his alma mater, working as a trainer for the college's football team. He's loved being able to be around the sport, even if his playing days were long over. He's loved the speed of the city too; not too fast, but enough to remain exciting. He'd be lying though if he said he wasn't looking forward to holidays in Lima. Just something super irresistible about that small town charm at Christmas.
