“I just wanna know why every week men and the pick me’s be actin’ like they don’t know what the qualities of a real date is? But I guess things are different for different people, so let me put that disclaimer out there before I say what I think a date is to me. For me, eating food in a car and talking is not no damn date. Let’s start there. A date is me getting all dressed up and whisked off to a fancy restaurant, club, hell even a romantic picnic. I wouldn’t mind going to an amusement center and playing arcade games or having a good time to loosen things up between me and whomever I’m going on a date with. It doesn’t always have to be sitting down at a restaurant because that gets boring after awhile. I think whoever asked the person out should plan the first date and make it spontaneous. Like give the woman some flowers, something thoughtful or candy when you come to get them. We can work up to the sitting in the car, eating and talking after you showed me that you want me. I don’t got nothing against parked car conversations but like... Not in the beginning.”
