I wasn't even half-satisfied, let alone hap-satisfied.

I really just miss the simplicity of s1 I think. I miss when Hawkins really did feel like a close-knit town, I miss when characters weren't all over the place, and there was just some type of grain in the film, even if it was filmed in 2015. I also miss the character building. Jim was a divorced alcoholic. Jonathan was a 'creep' and had a rough upbringing. Nancy was your typical popular, pretty schoolgirl, but she was in love with the so-called creep and could handle a gun. And Joyce was just a single mother, being driven to the brink of insanity. I just feel like nowadays, there's no time for character development, or no thought put behind it at all.

I've analyzed this show since 2021 and they put so much effort into byler subtext and queer coding Mike. I don't believe that they would put so much effort and time into queerbaiting. because that's some cartoon villain stuff.
