ryan condal, rolin jones, and the duffers using their high budget streaming series to write bad fan-fiction of good source material that completely misses the point and disrespects various marginalized identities.

I miss when it was “that’s photoshopped” instead of “that’s ai”
What do you think about sadies acting? I used to love her as max in seasons 2 3 and 4 but her acting in season 5 left me unimpressed. And I watched some of her other stuff and it feels like she's playing all her characters like they're max mayfield. I don't understand why everyone talks about her like she's an incredible actress. Millie is not great but she has more range than sadie definitely
Sadie, Sadie, Sadie... I'm underwhelmed.
Stranger Things 5 was a terrible run for most of the cast but not so much for her. Sadie dodged audience criticism due to the star status and goodwill generated from the prior season. Strangely, when people comment on her good acting, they frequently point to the "Running Up That Hill" sequence, despite her acting doing minimal lifting in comparison to the editing, special effects, direction, and music supervision. To me, Sadie can deliver when given emotionally rich context but also works best when playing off someone else. She needs that underlying push and pull, as seen with her and Regina Ting Chen (Ms. Kelley), her and Caleb (Lucas), and her and Dacre (Billy).
Sadie has been typecast, and it's preventing her from exercising her range. I would love to see her not play a variation of the Troubled Teen archetype (Stranger Things, The Whale, O'Dessa, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, John Proctor Is The Villain, as well as Romeo and Juliet), but that's not in the cards as of right now. I saw Sadie live in the play John Proctor Is The Villain and came away with the understanding that she's better fit for film. Although having a superficial appeal, she lacks the presence, projection, and power required for stage. Fina Strazza, who played Beth, outshined her.
