People don't talk enough about how Gurinder might jusr not have any parents
Actually maybe Nicola too ?
Margaret, Susan, Linda, and Soraya we know have parents
Henry, Ralph, Al, Bert, Brian, Andrew, William, Mike, Nick, I can't remember if Josh did- He appears like 5 times
Gurinder has MENTIONED his mom twice ( season 1 Injection Day, and Gorgeous Gurinder's takeover ), but we never actually see her
We know Gurinder has a lot of siblings so if he was an orphan then he does still have a sibling or siblings that can be his legal gaurdian(s)
Usually we see the parents of specific children as background characters or in areas where they should be like at a Teacher's conference or Happiest Family ever
Speaking of the latter, we can see Gurinder standing alone in that episode. You can guess who everyone else's parents are but there's no one on sight for Grinder
Gurinder also never really mentions having a dad. Some of the above we only ever see one parent like with Al and Susan though
A) his mom is VERY bad at paying attention and Gurinder is the type of kid who wanders off a lot
B) His mom can't come out in public for some reason
My logic with Susan is that we have some evidence that she's here. Susan says her mother got her to change her baby sister's diaper, and she proves that she can actually do it, and the way she says it is very truthful, plus her little sister woulđ have absolutely been very young at that time so it's something she's learned quite recently. I could go into a longer explanation about Susan but this is more about Gurinder ( I'll get to Nicola in a second )
Gurinder, on the other hand, has mentioned wanting his mom because he's scared or in his takeover he teaches the reader how to do something his mom taught him, those aren't exactly examples that she's here, plus the latter part he could've learned a while ago
As for Nicola, they don't appear often enough for me to make a solid statement. With all the mischief they cause, there could be something going on at home, or that they don't have parents to guide them, but that's merely speculation with little to back them up, especially since, again, Nicola only appears a very small amount of times
Basically, I'm not saying it's absolutely true that Gurinder is an orphan, but it's still interesting to think about it, maybe the writers and animators just forgot ? Who knows
