“All you remember is your name?”

“Yes,” Adaman nodded. “And the feeling that pokemon are familiar creatures to me… but that’s it.”

“Hm.” Kaeya sighed. “Amnesia is quite the puzzling subject.”

Adaman only nodded slightly. He paused for a second. “Did you figure out that device you found with me?”

“I did.” He handed it back to Adaman. “It seems to be a phone, like the one I acquired. The only thing on it was a message from ‘Almighty Sinnoh,’ if that name means anything to you.”

“…It doesn’t,” Adaman confirmed. He stared at the screen for a few seconds and allowed Kaeya to maneuver his hands to the buttons on the side when he reached over.

The screen opened to the message.

He falls, the only thing with him an odd device.

A figure far below catches sight of him, running and jumping over crystalline cubes to catch him.

He slowly opens his eyes, his vision still swimming, and looks up at the man. A woman and a large, dark pokemon soon glance down at him too.

He soon realizes the man is speaking, and that his ears are ringing.

“-Are you okay?” The man’s voice suddenly becomes clear, “Can you speak?”

“Kaeya, don’t press him,” The woman hushes, “He only just came to.”

“I… I can talk.” He rasps, his throat dry from not using it. Kaeya and the woman exchange a look.

“What can you tell us about yourself?”

“Right to the point, aren’t you?” He can barely manage a chuckle. “I am… I…”

He pauses, suddenly lost in the Kaeya’s eyes. Has he ever seen anything that blue?

“I don’t know who I am.”

They exchange another look, this time one of concern.

“Do you remember your name?” The woman speaks gently to him.

He wants to respond that he can’t recall anything his brain feeling obscured, but suddenly a word jumps out at him. One he knew was important.

“My name… it’s Adaman.”
