You realise at once that he both wanted you to train with your saber because he knew he’d be gone and wouldn’t be able to protect you and that this would drive you down the same fatal path he went. Did he not tell you because he wanted to protect you from the knowledge that he’d die young or did he not tell you because he knew you’d run away screaming. He was your brother. He was your father.
