Basic online etiquette when interacting with artists:
Reblog or retweet/share from the source
Donât take and redistribute what doesnât belong to you
Don't repost without permission
Don't crop watermarks
Don't claim other's work as your own
Don't remove links to OP's website/store/etc
âI got the image from Pinterest / Google / Facebook / etc, I didnât know the artist!â
If you donât know the artist, then you donât have permission to repost. Finding an image online doesnât mean itâs free to take. If you refuse to look up a watermark or reverse image search to find the owner to ask for permission to share it, then practise simply not posting what doesnât belong to you. Easy peasy.
Theft isn't cool, and it takes away exposure, engagement, recognition, and potential sales and work opportunities from artists. Support creative people rather than stealing from them.
