Romans 12:2 says “Do not CONFORM to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

We all know that the years spent in college are a TRYING time. For a 22 year old girl it can be so unsettling and so confusing. We try so hard to fit in, just so we don’t stand out. But we were CREATED to STAND OUT.

The world has a stronghold on majority of my generation. We feel we need the things of the world. We get caught up in the temporary “fun“, and fall into sin and before long, we’re drowning in it.

I’ve been there. I was living in a dark place where I thought the bar scene was just a phase and that my “drinking” buddies were my real friends. I was hurting myself. I didn’t have love for myself and I was constantly trying to look or be better and comparing myself to the other girls in that “bar scene”.

A few months ago, I really felt what I thought was one of the hardest times of my life. I was just emotionally drained and so weak. I went to my old dance teacher who is now a Pastor with her husband at a local church in my hometown called Living Water Worship Center. I sat down with her and she prayed over me and it was a lifting like I had never felt before. She is an amazing woman of God and I so much look up to her.

My family and I joined that church and it has been one of the greatest blessings in my life.

I am so much happier with myself. I know I am so loved by the KING of KINGS.

I don’t need the things of the world.

I am [RE-conformed] to fit the pattern and my mind has been RENEWED to what my FATHER wants, NOT what the world wants.

I’ve been set free from my shame that I caused myself and let others cause me.

I pray that God’s will for my life be done and I will trust in him for the plans he has for me.

I pray to honor God and to go far and wide to tell others about his love for them. I will go [without borders].
