The hardest bit about losing people you loved wasn’t thinking about the memories you had, the ones that had already been made. No. The hardest bit was the stuff that should have been, but had now been denied.

Selfish people cannot understand what compromising is in a relationship neither will they ever see why it’s necessary in the relationship.

You know when you think you know someone? More than anyone in the world? You know you know them, because you’ve seen them, like, for real. And then you reach out, and suddenly they are just… gone. You thought you belonged together. You thought they were yours, but they’re not.

Someone once said that the moment you stop to think about whether you love someone, you’ve already stopped loving that person forever.

To be able to say: I loved this person, we had a hell of a nice time together, it’s over but in a way it will never be over and I do know that I for sure loved this person, to be able to say that and mean it, that’s rare…That’s rare and valuable.
