one of the things that I really appreciate about Steins;Gate 0 Okabe is his constant use of the fact that Kurisu sacrificed herself and that she was the "person he cared for most" as an excuse.
The very first time he says it, in Steins;Gate, is after he accepts the idea of moving to the Beta worldline, when he promises to not forget Kurisu. "I wont forget the person I care for most."
Every time he brings it up in 0, however, is as an excuse. When Suzuha asks him about trying to reach the Steins;Gate worldline, he talks about how he had to sacrifice the person he cares for most. He constantly talks about that sacrifice whenever someone challenges his decision to remain on the Beta worldline, such as when he finds out about the time leap machine. he berates both Maho and Daru over the fact that they'd be throwing away Kurisu's sacrifice, making it worthless, and he focuses in particular on the fact that Maho would be killing Mayuri to save Kurisu. (he's evidently projecting there but I digress.) when he later talks to Mayuri about how "everything is fine" he again brings up the sacrifice, and that it was Kurisu's choice, and how desperately he wants to protect the weight of that sacrifice.
I really love that he hides behind it. he constantly raises it as a counterpoint to the idea that he's running away, because obviously somebody who was willing to accept the sacrifice of the person he cared for most couldn't possibly be running away. he's just protecting that sacrifice, making sure that it was all worth it, not running away from the idea that the sacrifice that hurt him and someone he loved could possibly be unnecessary or even harmful. it's fascinating

I hate how nonbinary and trans intersex people are left out of trans discussion.
We can’t be sorted into TMA or TME easily, so people who use those labels tend to sort us based on our assigned sex.
Labels commonly used by intersex trans people are called useless.
Nonbinary people aren’t even included in trans rights posts half the time.
Intersex people are used as a way to prove that trans people exist.
Nonbinary people’s identities are disregarded and we are either considered basically just our assigned gender/sex, or basically a trans man/woman, depending on which thing makes us easier to hate or disregard.
It feels like binary and perisex trans people don’t give a shit about us, and it also seems like they don’t think the specific oppression we face is real. If they do, they don’t fucking talk about it.
Accepting and supporting trans people means accepting ALL trans people. Not just the binary ones, not just the perisex ones, not just the white ones, not just the abled ones, not just the ones you’re comfortable with. ALL OF US.
Talk about the lesser represented trans people, PLEASE. Talk about people with unconventional identities. You don’t support trans rights unless you support those of us with more complicated or conflicting identities.
