Do you have any idea how genderfluidity or genderqueer or genderflux identities make the label of "man" and "woman" not so opposed to one another? Do you know how nonbinary lesbians describe themselves? Do you know how intersex labels can seem contradictory because that's what helps describe their experience?

The behavior you describe is appalling because it is the behavior of entitled cis men who think the world belongs to them, not because "male lesbians" exist. It is entirely possible for trans people, nonbinary people, intersex people, lesbians cis and trans to also BE slimy predators forcing people to be with them but that is an action, not because of however they call themselves, and the existence of these "confusing" people is not why cis men do this shit, they do it because cis men are protected by the system.

I have also been victim of the misogyny of cis men. When I presented as a woman and dated women, cis men tried to convince me that that relationship didn't count. I've also had cis men (and cis women) try to detransititon me. And every avenue was because of cis men's entitlement, cis people's entitlement--even queer cis people--and not ever because of acceptance of "male lesbians" or the INTERNAL assertion that dating men didn't ruin lesbians.

I came out in the era of peak "gold star" bullshit--where it was a badge of honor if you never slept with the "opposite" gender, and guess what? That shit was never used to shame men for preying on women, it was used to primarily shame queer women for ever having been with men. It was biphobia. It attacked lesbians who came out later in life. It created a rigid binary between bi women and lesbians rather than acknowledge their overlap. It was used as hardcore fuel for transphobia. Who "counted" as a lesbian, and who was a predator?

Radfeminism is suuuuuch a fucking cancer, and when you take the legitimate grievances of people under misogyny, then focus all your wrath on the sinister movement of Males, you replicate terfism over and over.

The people who use these labels in earnest and the people trying to prey on you are not the same people, and it doesn't take much effort to tell the difference if you approach the situation with even a crumb of willingness.

An entitlement to sleep with people is not the same as a "contradictory" label. The allowance of a range of experience for a person under a label is not the same as forcing a meaning onto YOU. An entitlement to convert someone from their sexuality or gender is NOT the goal of queer people trying to live their lives, can we please please please understand these as two different things and that the conflation of the two is top tier radfem horseshit?

whatever you are talking about in that first paragraph is not what i would call "anti-terf 101", terfism is not dependent upon anything about cis men at all, it is consistently more about hating trans women than anything else & misinterpreting that is a losing battle. i dont think shinigami eyes is an infallible extension but your name being marked red isnt giving me a lot of hope here.

my friend group is majority lesbians by a long shot, and every single one of them is nonbinary in some fashion. this doesnt make me "know what they want" inherently by any means, but trying to just assume things to make people look bad is a failing argument and will only embarrass you as you ascribe people with traits that can be easily disproven for the ease of your own arguments. you bring up a lot of various nonbinary identities a lesbian may have to try to invalidate an argument i wasnt making- i referred to binary trans man lesbians specifically, and no one else.

theres an entire tangent here you have about not viewing bi lesbians / trans man lesbians / etc. as responsible for the predatory actions of cis men- i honestly dont really understand this part or how it relates to what i said at all. despite the fact that i have seen the most obvious lesbophobic, transphobic & predatory justifications of these identities on here, me saying that someone fitting the label of bisexual but choosing to call themselves a lesbian (& etc.) based on vibes is a product of a lesbophobic society, not the.. cause?

you have a problem with gold star lesbianism (as do i), but you like the idea that lesbians can now separate themselves into "lesbian (like actually for real only with women)" and "lesbian (but i date or fuck men)". see in my eyes this sounds like you kind of just reinvented gold star lesbianism but with an attempt to sound more accepting / woke / whatever when you do it.

source 1- an article about butch lesbians that doesnt really touch on anything either of us said at all. actually there is a sentence that says some of those who identified as butch women WENT ON to identify as trans men or transmasculine, but it implies that they left the butch label behind, so what is the relevance.
