This Too Shall Pass

He was built to be a soldier in an ancient war where he got heavily damaged and buried in ruins for thousands of years. He was eventually uncovered and repaired by a cattle drive sent far off course by a drought. Holt has almost no memory of his life as a soldier and decided to become a cowboy himself.

His new life goes great for a while until he notices a strange star in the sky. It moves far too fast and out of sync with everything else. He becomes fixated on it, feeling as though it is constantly watching him back. (It’s actually a satellite but Holt doesn’t know that)

The start of the campaign finds him stuck in the city when a snow storm comes early during his latest delivery to market. His cows start acting strange and disappearing in the night, so Holt rounds up a pose to get to the bottom of it. Now the party is being hunted by a cult underneath the city. The cult has some connection to ancient technology and he’s hoping it will lead him to answers about what is watching him. It’s up to the party to figure out what the cult is trying to accomplish and stop them.
