PSA: this blog will explore themes of child neglect, divorce, death of a relative, imprisonment, self esteem and CSA. it’s all themes relevant to archie’s story and his characterization which I been portraying for 4 years. 

“IT’S   A   CRAZY   STORY,   YOU   MIGHT   THINK   I’M   LYING.   you   can   look   it   up.   veronica’s   dad   is   a   big   thing.“   hirem   lodge   is   disguntingly   rich   to   the   point   that   it’s   a   bit   too   much,   specially   for   a   small   town   like   riverdale,   though   he   thinks   the   man   would   fit   right   in   with   the   LA   crowd.   this   is   all   an   excuse   to   get   around   hawk,   really.   though   he   wasn’t   lying   when   he   said   he   needed   help   now   that   he   was   joining   Miyagi-Do   and   well,   this   was   the   best   outcome.   “he   framed   me   for   murder,   basically.   spend   most   of   my   senior   year   in   juvie,   it’s   why   i’m   held   back.“      and   he   say   it   so   casually.   framed   by   murder,   doing   the   lawn,   go   to   school,   as   if   it’s   part   of   the   deal.   archie   flashes   a   smile,   knowing   it   sounds   insane.   “he   is   like,   a   mobster.   and   i   dated   a   mobster   princess.“

SHE’S CAREFUL AS SHE DOES IT, BUT AS PREDICTED SHE REACHES OUT FOR HIM. veronica likes to think her fingers are as gentle as slow falling snow as she cups the edges of his wounds. “it’s going to leave a mark for sure” she doesn’t like this, doesn’t enjoy the reminder of just how mortal he is. it’s times like this she wishes herself to be hades, ruler of the underworld, able to keep him protected for as many months as consumed pomegranate seeds. yet she knows better than to keep someone like him captive, he deserves nothing short of all the beauty the world has to offer. “but with your broad shoulder? and me by your side? please no one’s going to look twice at some shiner.”
