Hey, I'm gilly!! I've had Tumblr for a while but I only started using it recently so I guess I'll try out an intro post lol

I frequent Ao3 and write under the same username. I mostly write for Merlin, KotLC, and PJO, but i have a ton of other fandoms and will write for virtually anything on any given day.

rachel and percy being classmates freshman year at Goode High has got to be the funniest concept ever 💀 i mean come on guys. literally the most stereotypical duo ever. daughter of a billionaire + stepson of one of the teachers, they probably got away with doing crazy shit 24/7. percy showing up late to class all the time because of monsters and being like. the typical trouble kid with failing grades and dyslexia and adhd and 'obedience problems' but nobody's allowed to pick on him because he has the protection of Rachel Elizabeth Dare. it's the first time he hasn't been bullied in school and rachel takes advantage of this by enlisting him into committing the Weirdest Stuff Ever with her with his newfound social immunity. graffitting the new science building donated to the school by a racist because they Can, gossiping about the teachers, making fun of each other because they both fit so neatly into their archetypes and they know it, like yea bro. they're friends. trauma bonded not during the titan war but during the oppressive regime of Period 5 9th Grade English

it’s no question that Percy looks like Poseidon but can you imagine being Thalia Grace spending years and years remembering your brother as the teeny tiny toddler he was when he died only to have him find you a decade and a half later and when you look at him you don’t see your brother you see your father. stern and cold and severe. and you see your mother. beautiful and proud and burdened.

you look at your brother and instead of seeing the rosy, chubby cheeks of a kid who adored you, you see remnants of the parents who disappointed you.

Percabeth hc: instead of eating blue food percy starts buying her food that is green. Green icing, green veggies, avocado tortilla chips, lime chips, sometimes the packaging is just green and he makes sure to get the things she likes in the process. She asks at somepoint why he doesn’t eat blue food with her cause she knows it’s special to him so it’s special to her and she wants to make him feel at home with her

i think we as kotlc fandom need to utilize time more in our headcanons and fanfiction, because elves are basically immortal

like, their feeling of time must be drasticly different from human, their view of normal age differences and age development too, i still don't understand why they finish school at 18?

also we don't know ages of most of characters, so we can write them basically any backstory and family, like why we don't assume that someone can have a second family (like elwin in some fanfics is cassius first son)

imo kotlc was written to be a perfectly idolized version of humans. elves are prettier, smarter, richer, and also they just happen to be immortal. I definitely think some things should be explored as a plot point instead of just being there to be "better"

i will forever mourn a version of elves that looks different from humans in a way beyond just being more beautiful

Okay, so this is kind of a mess because it's after midnight in my time zone and i'm tired, but hear me out:

prentice and Tiergan purely platonic but super close and they're Fitz and Keefe and cyrah is Sophie. except I feel like in this situation prentice and Tiergan would technically be Sophie and Fitz, and cyrah would be Keefe. basically just parallels between the different generations which I feel like there would be so many of in KotLC (sokeefe being the version of koralie that gets the happy ending) with Fitz, Sophie, and Keefe being super close and the version of prentice, Tiergan, and cyrah that got the happy ending

i feel like this isn't coherent at all, and idek if it makes sense, but ah well

If the show writers were serious, Scott constantly taking pain any chance he got would've been a good, and even being a character flaw, because the implication of what he's doing is self harm. Especially with the way he internalises the "pain makes you human" idea, and how much pain he siphons from other people.

If they wanted to take it up a notch, the plot would be pushed by him not being satisfied with the amount of pain he's taking, so he's so used to it that he goes out of his way to feel pain. And this could be manifested in any form. Like him stashing wolfsbane in his room, him sneaking into the hospital to siphon pain from patients without his mom knowing.

Then that habit becomes dangerous, because it affects his everyday life. It becomes so extreme that he literally cannot function without it and that kinda causes a disconnect between him and who he really is; wanting to help people. So it could be more about the pain, and less about helping the person in need.

So what he intended as a method to keep him human is actually making him less human (or more human, because addiction is real human issue), then his behaviour switches from calm to erratic, patient to wrecklessness. Then, people around him start to notice something is wrong.

scott pov of his own childhood is always devastating but right now I'm really stuck on scott seeing his dad spiral deeper into alcoholism and becoming more overtly physically and emotionally abusive vs seeing stiles' dad spiral deeper into alcoholism but then actually dig himself out of it like how would you as a child even deal with that. how would scott as a baby who already has poor self worth and a fuckton of abandonment issues due to the aforementioned abuse understand that his dad just didnt try to be better and would he blame himself for it. maybe scott's dad really is a different type of person or maybe scott wasn't 'worth' changing for.

I wish I was good at [thing].” because like… just do it. who said you had to be good. the more you do it the better you get. why would you purposely derive yourself of joy when you could be having fun and learning new skills. like im an ass artist but I’m not gonna stop making art.
