Your Zaknafein and Rizzen art made me come up with a headcanon: Drow bond with their patrons/fathers through hair.
Like a baby drow will hold onto their father's hair when they hold them, and they learn how to braid and brush by practicing on their father's.

Maya and Dinin stressing Rizzen out so much as they keep tugging and pulling. He has a 30 step hair care routine and Zaknafein just has lucky genetics: water, soap, that's it.
I think maintaining relationships through hair care might be common among the followers of Vhaeraun. Followers of Eilistraee clearly spend a lot of time on their hair, for some reason I think so. XD But this hair-care would be incredibly sweet with Zak, Drizzt, and Vierna. (╥_╥) Rizzen would be very displeased with Dinin. Dinin is never good enough.
And yes, Zak just washes his hair in the river and looks like he's from an expensive shampoo commercial in any situation.┐(︶▽︶)┌
