Excerpt:

“When you come back, you’ll be second years,” Aizawa says, pausing to scan the room and look at each of his students.

None of them return his gaze. Most of their eyes are glassy, completely dulled over. Ashido stares at the ceiling, head thrown back and mouth slightly parted; Kaminari is latched onto Ojiro’s tail, rubbing his face mindlessly into the bit of fluff at the end; Midoriya babbles to himself, again, flipping noisily through the pages of his notebook and adding frantic additions to the margins. In front of him, a ticking bomb: Bakugou tapping his foot and grinding his teeth. Aizawa can practically see the countdown over the boy’s head.

He sighs and pinches the brow of his nose between his eyes. Come the end of hero society itself, he would be sleeping straight through the next ten days.

“That’s all for today,” he finishes. “Don’t waste this time.”
