Lemme get a uhhhhhhhhhh

i love when stories incorporate a variety of religions and religious expressions into the mix & wakanda forever opened with shuri saying “bast if you let me save my brother i will never doubt you again,” showed namor being cursed by a spanish friar as a “child without love” when he was there to bury his mother out of love for her and her love for the surface world, let both shuri and namor’s grief and vengeance blind them to the everlasting presence of their mothers in their lives… and i really LOVED that seeing their mothers in what could have been their last moments doesn’t shift their entire worldview, just tells them that the people we loved never truly leave us, and that there are more important things than getting even, and sometimes it’s possible to know and be known by person so well that they live on inside us whether we like it or understand it or not

from the bottom of my heart, wakanda forever is one of the most beautiful films ever created. chadwick’s presence was weaved throughout every scene and every word. you could feel him on the screen despite being absent. you could see him in the land of wakanda. this movie was for him and had so much love and passion behind it for him, but this movie was also for us. for everyone who still mourns his death. for everyone who is still shocked that he isn’t with us anymore. this story of grief, love, and torment being so tangled to the point where you don’t know how to separate them hit so hard, but deciding that you have to let go instead of watch world burn gave me chills. i cannot thank chadwick enough for being our black panther, but his legacy will always live on because of these films. may generations to come know the way he brightened the world.

M’Baku in Wakanda Forever is proof that you can give a Marvel character funny moments while also giving them emotional depth without taking away from the heart of the movie (and actually adding to it)

I’m not gonna spoil anything, but everyone should thank Ryan Coogler for making yet again the best MCU movie.

The black panther movies are objectively the best marvel movies. You are allowed to have other personal favorites, but black panther is top tier. You can tell how much love Ryan Coogler has for the comics and absolute passion he put into those movies. As well as every actor.
