It would be cool if there was horror without blood, gross out, darkness=scary, or jumpscare. Please. Listen, these things are common in horror for a reason, and they do not ruin a horror story. But sometimes (a lot of the time) they carry way more than they should.

it's kind of crazy climate change has occurred at such a remarkable pace that I and everyone else around my age can remember a completely different climate in our childhoods. I truly watched winter gradually disappear in my life.
