Damn, if thereβs anything my most recent post taught me itβs that we really havenβt moved on from transmedicalism and exorsexism as the norm in trans spaces huh. I find it very offensive that the more unwell you are, the more things you have to do to maintain your health. Things like following special diets, going to medical appointments, making big and important decisions about what treatments to use. At the same time, the more unwell you are the less energy you have to do all of these extra things. It seems grossly unfair.
Having a dynamic disability will have you going from "maybe I was never even sick and it was all in my head" to "what if I never feel happiness again" in the span of like 2 days
To my 25 - 35 year olds, you've reached the age where people around you are starting to give up on themselves because they think it's too late. Don't let that energy rub off on you. It's not too late.

being disabled and lgbt is such a horrible curse because you will see the most ableist take on earth online and you're like "oh surely this is some right-wing fascist loser" and then you look at the person who said it and there's pronouns in their bio. and it's like, how did we get here? but the reality is that a lot of abled people (and often disabled people who are intolerant of different disabilities) are just not even willing to confront the idea that they are capable of punching down on other marginalized groups
like i don't know who needs to hear this but you are Not as progressive as you think you are if you're saying stuff like the R slur, "jobless behavior", making fun of nonverbal people, mocking physical differences, using psychotic as an insult, or calling people "lazy" for using disability aids. even if you're gay!
trans men please transition and live and be 10, 15, 20+ years down the line and be the hope and joy and proof that makes other trans men stay alive
this pride month, keep the disabled queer people in mind who can't celebrate pride the 'regular way' aka by going to parades and lots of events. keep the homebound, bedbound, and other disabled queers who can't go in mind. those people who see everyone else party and are unable to attend. text them, wish them a happy pride, visit them and celebrate in a way that works for them. it's already hard not to be able to go to all of these events, it's even harder to be left behind because of it.
