This is my super sweet and lovable kitty, Tibby. He’s not just my cat but my best friend. I can’t even count all the times he has been there for me, whether it was something to hug when I was sad, to pet when I’m bored, or use a pillow when there aren’t any around. I could swear to you, he is half human. It seems like he just understands whatever you say to him and gives you the look like “yeah, man, I totally get you.” He is so gentle with people and even other animals. And ever since we got our dog Flynn, they’ve become best friends too. But Tibby is now over 10 years old and he is starting to have some health problems. Recently, he was diagnosed with diabetes and hyperthyroidism - both of which are common in older cats. His diabetes is causing him to lack in self care (he no longer licks himself clean and rarely uses the litter box now) and his hyperthyroidism has shown massive weight loss (if you refer to the last image compared to how he used to look before). Paying for three kids in college, my parents cannot find the sufficient funds for Tibby’s vet bills as they begin to pile on us and I now look to the loving community of friends, family, and to those who love animals. I ask for prayers and positive vibes that we will be able to help Tibby live a happy and healthy life again.
